And I suppose the ship is still too close to the island that if she goes on it now to stop it, it could probably just fall onto the island because of gravity, so she's trying to move further away first

2025-12-03 22:55:31 +0000 UTCI don't think Vander worded it right. It wouldn't stop just because it crashes into something, it has to crash into something that is able to stop its momentum. When Luffy blocked the axes he had to hit them quite hard and he fully stopped them moving, he didn't just tap them and they stopped. Normally, a wall or the ground would be enough if it's made of stone, but just the chains of the ship are moving through and destroying hills like they were nothing, so I don't think even crashing into a small island would make much difference.

They don't want Shirahoshi to use her power because she can't control it yet, and even if she could, the sea kings could just destroy the Noah and they don't want that either

The mermen were dumb, they said the ship is half the size of Fishman island, they think their arms can pull an island away? If Shirahoshi reaches the surface that ship might as well just sail the sea again because the water on the deck would be all gone and dry, and there’s no way anyone can pull that ship 10Km from the bottom of the sea it’s livable land in itself they can build a city on that. Plus, when shirahoshi stood infront of the Fishmen for the ship to hit her in the beginning, that didn’t make sense because it’ll pop the bubble before reaching her. The queen (haha sama, dead meat, sushi, dumbass, evil shit) said that the sea kings that Shirahoshi can command are powerful enough to destroy Fishman island so they do indeed have an equal power to stop that ship, considering she can call all the sea kings of the world.
