INTERSTELLAR - Full Length Reaction!

Here's the full length reaction to Interstellar! What an intense movie! This movie definitely took me though a WIDE range of emotions, and I absolutely loved it. I remember that this movie was a huge deal when it came out, and I'm so glad that I've finally seen it (almost a decade later oops)! Enjoy!

I am a new fan to your great reactions and there are so many more great "reactor" movies for you to see. Nolan's masterpiece Momento is a must watch which he did before the Batmans and is so original in concept. As for science based space movies Gravity is a visual tour de force with great heart.

Andrew Roach

Addie, let's go further into the Christopher Nolan library of films. I'd like to suggest The Prestige. We have Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Michael Cane. I think you would really enjoy it.

Gideon James

Since you’ve finally watched this movie, you should really check out ‘Arrival’ soon. It’s a very good film.

Danny Miller

Really loved your reaction

Damien Brown

I always interpreted those monologues as the characters very human and emotional explanations of the things they couldn't possibly understand. Dr. Brand said it so she could go see the person she loved and Coop said it as he was in an area that he had no understanding of as an engineer and could only go off what the the expert, Dr Brand, said previously.

Bill Irwin is everywhere.

Part of the visuals came courtesy of the movie being shot on 70mm IMAX film, which approximates about 66 minutes of the movie. The remaining 103 minutes were filmed in Panavision (anamorphic).

This is an absolutely incredible movie that is unfortunately twice briefly interrupted by two toe-curlingly cringy monologues about how "scientifically love is a force that transcends dimensions". o_0 The soundtrack is absolutely dope, and I once had the opportunity to hear it performed live on a church organ that you could feel reverberate in your chest, absolutely breathtaking in both meanings of the word.

Onno Smits

Stage and screen actor Bill Irwin is the voice of TARS and also was on set to assist with puppeteering duties. He played the father of Anne Hathaway's character in "Rachel Getting Married" (2008).

When the movie released, we have only speculated how black holes will look like, until the new telescope, JWST, we sent up finally gave us an image of one.

As that meme goes, Hollywood has spent hundreds of millions in just trying to get Matt Damon home. 😄

"Why is Matt Damon always stuck on some random planet" Best part of this reaction I have seen xD

LightsCameraJake

Honestly considering the stakes, the macro setting, the visuals, the score, the writing, and most importantly- the heartfelt story about a father's love for his kids, this is the best movie I've ever seen

Joel

The black hole visuals are based on a model by Kip Thorne, one of the main physicists studying them. It’s the most accurate visual that’s been done of the very weird way it would look with light being bent so severely by gravy. Scientific papers were written about the model.

This movie kind of reminds me of that one episode of Stargate SG-1.😁

Happy Thursday 🔮 This is one of my favourite Nolan films next to Inception. That's one other film I recommend for the future. I'm a huge fan of time travel and space etc.

DazzMetalStorm

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 I love this movie! This movie has such a fantastic cast. One of my top favorite Matthew McConaughey movies. Speaking of Matthew McConaughey, I highly recommend the two "Magic Mike" movies. And I keep forgetting that MacKenzie Foy plays the young Murph in this. And it's another Matt Damon in space movie. Glad that you've got to see both "The Martian" and now this one with Matt Damon. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

Randee Carreno

Cool, my favorite Nolan film!

Rich

Oh man, I guess this will finally get me to watch this movie!

Nathan Smith

Speaking of Nolan, I also suggest Memento (2000), Insomnia (2002, with Al Pacino & Robin Williams), The Prestige (2007, with Hugh Jackman & Christian Bale), and the upcoming Oppenheimer (2023, with Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., and Florence Pugh).

Alex Tan

Happy Thursday, Addie. Interstellar (2014) is one of my favorite sci-fi movies and my third favorite Christopher Nolan movie. It's a very well-done blend of sci-fi & drama.
