Reconstruction 1.5.2024 - 15.6.2024

Hello fellow modellers.

I must apologize for the recent video and post delay.

I started the complete reconstruction of an apartment after my grandparents, so I do not have time for models right now. I must make new floors, electricity, water, and plasters and move everything. I want to make it as soon as possible, but I guess it will take at least one or two months. 🙄 I will try to make some videos in my free time, but I will see how it will go. 🤔

WIP - Assassination of Reinhard Heydrich 1/35

I have a new project and a diorama on the table. It will be the largest famous and successful operation Anthropoid Czech resistance action on the third man of nazi germany.

The whole scene will be before the attack. I have a nice kit from ICM of a Mercedes 320 in 1/35 scale and figures of Heydrich, driver, and Jozef Gabčík, Jan Kubiš.

It is my attempt to make a weathering on the car rally model. It took more time than the clean finish, but it was an exciting test. I think I can make some dirty Le Mans car next time.

WIP - 3D Model Ka-26

The tail made me crazy. I struggled to obtain the correct shape and tested different modeling approaches. It is sometimes better to go to sleep and continue with a clean head. The result looks lovely so far. And yes, it will be Kamov Ka-26. I love the shape of this machine, and one available kit is on a 1/72 scale, which is inaccurate. Also, Russian companies make some resin kits, but they are expensive. So, I decided to design a whole new model. It is primarily my study subject. 🫡

WIP - 3D model

I made progress on the tail section. It is another small hint. It was pretty hard to obtain the correct shape of the rudder because it is in the angle, and the blueprint was inaccurate. I found an original Russian mechanical manual with a few plans, which will help make other sections more accurate.

Anyway. I have almost finished Lancia 037, so the video will be available next week.

WIP - 3D modeling

After the P47 detail set, I feel a need to do something more challenging and learn 3D modeling better. Hard surface modeling is tricky, but Blender allows exciting tools.

Do you know what it will be?

WIP - Lancia 037 1/24

The dashboard looks like from Knight Rider KITT. I made new details like small bolts, buttons, switches, string wheels, and pedals.

And also new mesh. The bottom part of the kit has holes that are too large, and it would be tricky to drill them out. So, this 3D improvement helped a lot.

Video - Panzer IV 1/72 Dragon

The Panzer III and IV tanks had typical German flat shapes and looked even more enjoyable with extra armor. I will upload the 3D parts tomorrow, so you can print and use some nice upgrade parts.

WIP - Panzer IV J 1/72 Dragon

There is now horrible weather in the Czech Republic, so instead of running or exercising, I spend my free time finishing the Panzer IV model. It is a late version with mesh armor against Cumulative Ammunition.

The kit is mesh from metal parts, but it is too large and out of scale. So I replace it with nylon mesh from tea bags. 😉😅

Again, I had a lot of video footage but selected only the interesting sections. Even so, the video is 35 minutes long. I hope I did not make to many mistakes. 😅
