Here's the full length reaction to Captain Marvel! Next MCU movie: Endgame!! I can't WAIT to see what comes next. Enjoy!

CAPTAIN MARVEL - Full Length Reaction!

Comments

Oh, and Stan Lee's posthumous cameo has him reading the script to Mallrats (1995). Definitely react to that movie, but watch Clerks (1994) first as it's part of the View Askewniverse, another shared universe featuring Jay & Silent Bob (Jason Mewes & Kevin Smith).

yeah my granddaughter told me of divisive teachings of college these days. and since im mexican Ive seen first hand how my mother was treated in the past, however those days are bygone unless folks are taught to carry that hate and blame all their problems on others. the term M she U is brought on by the writers that want to turn male heroes as bumbling fools and the females as the only heroes that can save us all. the reason Captain Marvel and Black widow are great characters is because they are true to their comic book origins. but because you have been indoctrinated you are taught to generalize

zynjams

i rlly don’t understand the term “M-SHE-U”…do you mean mcu films with women in them? like why is that such an issue?

Shelby Waters

There are bad M SHE U movies but black widow and captain Marvel are not amongst them

Please when reacting to EndGame, PLEASE watch the credits. It's a real conclusion when watching the credits. You won't regret it.

Moua Yang

I think everyone noticed that.

MotoDork

As others have said, please just let the credits play at the end of Endgame.

I find myself wondering how many people noticed that Korath (played by Djimon Hounsou) ALSO appears in this movie. I say also because Korath might have picked up some implanted tech in the sides of his head, but he's the agent of Ronin The Accuser's who delayed Starlord's departure from Morag in the opening act of Guardians vol. 1.

So yeah this movie came out around the time of Stan Lee's passing sadly. This is his last actual cameo. They filmed this movie after they filmed Endgame funnily enough. Stan Lee is the person we owe a lot of thanks to. He helped create so many characters we love. The X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Hulk, Daredevil, and he created Spider-Man all his own. He's the iconic grandfather of Marvel and its crazy how we went from Comics to this wide spread universe. Thank you Stan. ❤️ And also when you watch Endgame, please don't skip the first half of the credits. Theres something worth sticking around for. It's not a scene neccesarily so just let the credits play when the movie is over. You'll see what I mean, it's definitely worth watching.

do you realize how many spoilers you just posted in all of this? did you think about that at all?

A few other comments have touched on the fact that this movie gets some grief - but it's a tough crowd! pretty much all of the MCU movies are top-notch, casting, writing, directing, effects, music. so if one isn't quite as good as the others it stands out. Personally I feel that Brie Larson's role wasn't worked out in enough detail, and could have been finessed a bit more. Elements felt rushed just to "get them in" before endgame. However, the call outs to previous elements, the tie-ins, the introduction of young Coulson, the perfect portrayal of the Skrull leader, and some stellar acting by the entire case - all of that leads to a solid movie in my book. Not the best, but good. I enjoyed watching YOUR reaction to the movie so much!!!!! The discovery that the good guys and the bad guys are not who you think, the power she has, the Flurkin, just to name a few. Keep up the good work!

OK, to answer a few questions… You’re partially right - both Wanda and Carol get their powers from Infinity Stones - Mind Stone for Wanda, Space Stone for Carol. The Tesseract timeline is roughly this: in the 700s, during the Frost Giant invasion of Earth, the Tesseract was lost in Norway. It was hidden there until 1943 when Red Skull and HYDRA located it and used it to power their weapons and their bombing planes. Captain America and Red Skull fought over it and Red Skull got teleported to Vorimir. Following that, the Tesseract fell into the Atlantic until Howard Stark located it and SHIELD took custody, probably in 1945. Between 1945 and the 1990s, SHIELD studied it at Project Pegasus but couldn’t crack it. That’s where Mar-Vell comes it - by circumstances unknown, she became aware of the Tesseract on Earth and was using it as a power source for a light speed engine. You know the rest of that story now, so suffice to say SHIELD got in back until 2010 when Loki stole it and used it to open a wormhole that led to the Chi’tarii invasion of New York. Avengers happened, Thor took custody and took the Tesseract back to Asgard where it stayed until Loki took it back during the destruction of Asgard. Thanos tracked the Tesseract down, broke it to retrieve the Space Stone and… you know the rest. Briefly. It HAS been around, to say the least. I actually think Marvel is one of the most underrated of all the MCU projects. It’s a lot of fun, blending backstory while introducing new characters and concepts for what lies ahead. Cannot wait to see what you think of Endgame. See you then.

The last place you saw the Tesseract prior to the 90s in universe was Howard Stark fishing it out of the ocean whilst trying to find a dead frozen Steve Rogers.

SquaredSpekz

100% agree. Wanda, then Carol, then Thor.

The Dingo

So excited for End Game!!!!

Jayson Phillips

Carol is definitely up there as one of the most powerful avengers, she hadn't fully explored the extent of her powers in the first part of the movie and then they exploded and this is similar to Wanda's story too. You will see way more of what Wanda can do when you get to WandaVision as she learns more about her own powers, in my opinion she is more powerful than Carol because she has more than just physical strength but i think they make up the top 3 along with Thor

Jasmine Lambert

It's a bad movie because she got powerful without buildup. There's a reason why Captain Marvel doesn't get promoted as much as the other female heroes.

Equinox

That's BS Disney owns Star Wars...

I think a lot of people dislike Brie Larson, so they automatically dislike the movie, but actually like the movie. It’s not anywhere near my favorite movie in the MCU, but I do think that it’s a good movie.

Danny Miller

Fun fact: in the comics the Flerken is called Chewie... They had to change it because of IP/licensing stuff, so yes, I think they picked Goose as a nod to Top Gun.

Alex Currie

The only thing I liked about this movie was the Skrulls.

Steve SG-1

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 This is a good one. Not one of my absolute favorite MCU movies, but in my top 17. I do like Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. And having Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg back as Nick Fury and Phil Coulson was great. Even though I love Goose the cat(or Goose the Flerken)it was slightly disappointing that that's how Fury lost his eye considering how he made it sound in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". And seeing that Goose swallowed the Tesseract, and him getting rid of it on Fury’s desk I think is how SHIELD ended up with it. And we get to see how Nick Fury came up with the idea for the "Avenger Initiative". I'm really looking forward to the sequel coming out sometime next year. Up Next: "Avengers: Endgame". And I very highly recommend at least two boxes of tissues when you watch it. Have a great day & weekend! 😊

Happy Friday Addie 🎬

DazzMetalStorm

Ditto, I find myself revisiting this film a lot!

PhillyJ

I don’t know why, but this movie gets a lot of flak. So this might be an unpopular opinion, but Captain Marvel is one of my favorite MCU movies.

Torchwood79

We’re in the endgame now

Joseph salazar

Happy Friday, Addie. Carol Danvers really flies Higher, Further, and Faster. It does have that Top Gun vibe as well. BTW, Captain Marvel was the very first MCU movie that I saw with my girlfriend when she & I started dating. We're both MCU fans. Next up, Avengers: Endgame (2019).
