Sure, im saying in todays world its a war crime to attack and kill if the other side is retreating and surrendering. Doesnt matter if they are criminals, they are human first, it goes against humanity to just slaughter someone who is done fighting, obviously done fighting and running away. For example, even outside of war, if someone attacks your family, breaks in, murders your loved one, u see it all happen, and then that person sees u and starts running away, u take a gun and shoot them in your driveway in the back. U cant argue self defense, cuz they were running away. Not saying its right, just saying it would be a war crime, what they are doing to pirates here lol

In a normal setting of war, hunting the escapees is wrong but in that case both sides are not criminals. They are different groups on either same side of the law OR at least they are just not established criminals from before conflict.
