Midoriya using kicks was actually intentional as you can see Midoriya wearing red shoes was to highlight this. All Might has the brawler figure for strength which is why punching is more of his thing while Midoriya smaller build is better for speed and agility where kicks would be a better fit for him. Horikoshi knew what he was doing here.

For some reason the subtitles jut outright misspelled his name that time XD And yes; the was a preview for the film that you've already seen, which reminds me; there's actually *another* preview for the film that's coming up as an episode this season. (I want to say it's 5 episodes from now? Maybe 6? Can't remember exactly) Either way, just a heads up since I know it comes in the middle of the next story arc.
