Joyce and Dorothy are both in every panel except for 2 and 3, where Joyce is looking at Dorothy, but her comment prompts Dorothy to look back distractedly at the Amber/Amazi-Girl situation. 2. Once again, Willis puts two small narrative elements into one strip. First, Joyce knows that something is up with Dorothy since she went imperceptible, and second, the issue of showering together is raised and dismissed. There is basic narrative tactics at work here. In order for Joyce to see that Dorothy is distracted, Joyce has to still be waiting for a free stall, but in order for the sexy issue to arise, somebody must exit a stall. We don't know yet that it matters that it's Rachel, but she looks good in just a towel and sandals. 3. Joyce's lean towards Dorothy in the final two panels, and Dorothy's slight lean away, work with the facial expressions to sell the situation: Joyce is eager, but Dorothy's mind is elsewhere, and she may also be reluctant to be known to be showering with Joyce.
