And now for fun I’m thinking about potential “sides” when the reveal does happen: Sal is going to have to be team Joe and Walky by default (unless she wants to be in conflict with both her boyfriend and her brother) however she might personally feel but nothing about her tells me she would be okay with this and even if Walky didn’t give a shit or Joe decided to be okay with it Danny will absolutely not be okay with this. So while neither Joyce or Dorothy give a fuck about Danny’s feelings they both consider Sal a friend so there’s one more person this whole mess is going to cost them. Billie is going to side with Walky the second the cheating is confirmed. So this move has/will fuck up their relationships with: Joe, Walky, Sarah, Sal and Billie. Joyce and Dorothy will have each other and I’m assuming Becky and Dinah depending on Becky’s reaction. Amber is a wild card. She wants Walky and actively pushed these two towards each other but I don’t see her being particularly judgmental about their actions in a “we’re all garbage” type of way. But she is Joe’s stepsister and she is potentially Walky’s future partner. So she seems like the one who could be a go between.

2025-08-14 21:01:02 +0000 UTCJust reread the comic where Dorothy talks to Danny about cheating “accidentally” and being bisexual and he straight up called that being “a morally bankrupt human being” and this conversation literally happened like what 48 hours before the cheating took place? Dorothy comes to Danny her EX BOYFRIEND for advice about her sexuality and then literally less than a week later does the thing he said would be fucked up and horrible to his BEST FRIEND??? Ohhhhh man. Forget Becky. I think Danny’s going to be the one with the most nuclear reaction to this entire thing and you just know he’s not even a blip on her radar. Just like Walky basically is. I like Dorothy, I do. But the extremely cold and calculated shit she does to get what she wants while projecting this well crafted (though now fraying but only we know that with the benefit of being the audience) image “always knows best, always does the right thing” needs to be addressed and Danny would be a good choice for it. This girl did want to be president. There is a certain ego that goes with that. There is a certain idea of people having to be disposable to achieve what you want. And while Dorothy has abandoned that dream she hasn’t abandoned that ambition and that pursuit of a goal like a shark smelling blood in the water. It’s likely second nature to her at this point and I think I like her more now. Not in a I support her shittiness way but in a more who she actually is turns out to be way more interesting than who she thought she was. Or pretended to be. Which is the point of people but ya know. Also her soon to be ex is Danny’s current girlfriend’s brother…Jesus Christ.

There is no such thing as platonic shirt sniffing I said I screamed into the abyss. People said I was a crazy weirdo well who is crazy now! Well still me. Anyway I do appreciate gay subtext as long as its not done in a cowardly way. (Looking at you Tomb Raider Netflix show)
