Big gold ball punch go brrrrr

Oh come on... Enel should've destroyed Luffy with speed, heat and mantra. Don't care if he can't be electrocuted

Nicholas Kent

Enel only had mantra. If you observe only the brown snake sister was hurting Luffy. Green one was just predicting his moves. We can see it when she slamed Luffy to ground and he said that didn't hurt.

Lucky is gonna read this and get confused. Enel's defeat was not ridiculous; he could only use "mantra" (which we all know what that means except Lucky), rather than something like "supreme king Haki" abilities and thus would not have been able to hurt Luffy in the way the snake sisters and Garp can. It made complete sense for Enel to lose vs Luffy, his natural rubber enemy. Although I agree its odd Croc and Lucci did not use it.

Dr. Mrugalski

The literal translation of "haoshoku no haki" does mean supreme king haki, but the more common translation that everyone calls it is Conqueror's haki which is less misleading because it is not something royal like king's haki makes it sound, it's more about the characteristic to dominate. We know that haki translates to ambition or willpower so you can try to guess the limits of this "supreme king haki". Also, Marigold said Luffy has the "king's disposition to stand above all others" which can also be translated as Luffy has the "qualities of a conqueror to stand above all others". And Boa saying that he has the same king's haki as her can also be interpreted as he has the same conqueror's spirit as her. Basically, conqueror's haki is the more widely used term, but I do think king's haki is the literal translation.

Opinions are divided on the different types of haki as well. Some fans are cool with one type but are very mixed with another.

It’s such an epic episodes. It’s really explains why everybody was so anxious about lucky skipping fillers. But it made it more interesting to watch now.

Реакция Хуршеда

Haki isn't particularly controversial. Unlike some elements introduced much later! It allows for pretty common things in Shonen nekketsu. Except for Kings Haki. And Oda had us well prepared for the idea beforehand. However, fans have asked questions. Like, "HOW THE HELL IS IT POSSIBLE THAT CROCODILE AND LUCCI DIDN'T HAVE HAKI ?" Among other things, lol Or like Lucky said, when you understand what haki is, it makes Enel's defeat even more ridiculous. PS: Lucky, now you understand why Hancock has such persuasive power over the weak-minded. Yes, she's gorgeous and charismatic. But she also has the Kings Haki. Haki is a bit like the Force from Star Wars lol

Nicholas Kent

Dang; I knew these episodes would eventually be hard for me to watch; didn't realise it would start this soon. Anywho; they'll explain it more later, but I'm just going to give the heads up now; Haki as it later gets explained is one of the more controversial additions Oda made to One Piece, and there's actually a few clues from previous arcs that the explanation they eventually give isn't actually the original idea he was going to use. Either way, it's one of those things that fans either like or don't like, so it'll be interesting to see where you stand, though I already have an idea lol.

Mike G. M.

Yep, kings haki or conquerors haki, is the type of haki Rayleigh and Shanks showed by knocking people out and only a fraction of people in the one piece world can use it.
