Avatar of Khaine pt.2

The Avatar of Khaine returns in part 2 of this tutorial series. As we left from painting the heat of the Avatar, we will now go into details of the cooler elements. After a steady week of painting Khaine's avatar, I present the first part of his tutorial. Painting the head of the daemon, or more simply putting on how I've illustrated the heat with lessons in brushstrokes used, a full walk-through of each colour mix, and notes of placement and closing stages in preparations for tackling the cooler areas. Stormcast Challenge - Blue Reflective NMM pt.3

We are back with the third installment of the Stormcast Challenge and painting the Blue Reflective NMM.

Taking a looser approach to brushstrokes having a lot of fun with stylized textures, and temperature contrast. Running alongside the Stormcast Challenge, Azmodai is also on my desk and the brush is moving really nicely. It’s one of those models that when I initially saw the miniature, I wasn’t feelin it.
