Kinda curious how many variants this recurring nightmare will have? First it's Sweater!Joyce behind the MurderDoor, now it's Joyce in the van... As knife-twisty as it would be, I wouldn't be surprised if the next time we revisit this dream it'll be Joe literally dragging Joyce down into the abyssal Toedad. Even if she intellectually knows that Joe won't hurt her, unless things rapidly turn around in the next day or two (hell, maybe even if they *do*, trauma's gonna trauma), that's gotta be where Dorothy's subconscious mind would jump to.

2025-05-21 16:59:25 +0000 UTCI have so many complicated feelings about Walky/Dotty bc like. theres clearly a lot of love and fondness and comfort there. But man oh mannnnn neither of them are in a great position to be good partners right now. Walky has a lot of stuff to examine re: his identity and how he treated Lucy compared to his white girlfriends. and Dotty. needs to be able to really talk to him (and her therapist if we're being super optimistic) abt whats going on in her head with words instead of just throwing sex at him- which i think/hope may be what this scene is leading to? but idk. they've never been my *favorite* couple but this page is a really nice reminder to me of what i did like about them... theres a lot of care between them, but what they do it with it is up to them.
