Unused strip for April 24, 2025
Added 2025-04-24 13:14:52 +0000 UTCInstead of starting to sort through Joyce's sweatervests, I pencilled a strip where Dorothy first sits down at Joyce's desk and notices the printed photo of Dorothy she keeps taped to the wall there.
The Dorothy photo's been part of the Joyce/Sarah dormroom background set for many, many years, but I honestly don't know if it's ever been very visible in actual strips. Usually somebody's standing there! So even if Dorothy sitting down instead of attending to her given task was a false start, I wasn't sure if it'd've followed as "ohhhh that photo that's always in the background, huh!"
so straight on to the closet we go

also i didn't have to draw somebody sitting in a chair, so that's a win

It took me until this week to figure their closets are criss-cross from their beds. Of the four main Clark rooms, only in Dorothy's are the closets and beds lined up.

2025-04-27 20:49:36 +0000 UTCIt's been a long time since I had a bunk bed, but my recollection is that yes, you have to crawl over the railing, but you also use it to hold onto. Otherwise you're just a tired person balanced at the top of a ladder. And I *think* it's just out of frame in the comic, but I haven't worked it out fully.

2025-04-27 20:35:10 +0000 UTCA couple of things hit my OCD: 1. I would think the ladders in the set wouldn't be such that one had to crawl over the railing (I'd put them at the other end of the bed). Not being one that has used a bunk bed with a railing, I may be missing something. 2. The ladder is missing in the comic.
