anyway remember that time Joe approached Dorothy to ask her how to do a romantic date for Joyce
well originally there was a strip that followed it (pencils seen up at the top) where dorothy tells him to make macaroni and cheese, and joe says "okay but that's what you two do" and dorothy looks up at him, and joe looks back, and dorothy frowns and looks off to the side
AND WELP we almost had the "hey are you into Joyce" story again back in October 2024.
But I was like, no no no no, I want to do the actual "hey are you into Joyce" setup later, this can't happen NOW, and ... instead I shifted to some other characters for a few strips.
And yet, when we get back to Joyce and Joe later, Joe.... suggests making macaroni and cheese.
gee wonder who told him to do that
but maybe without all the resulting piercing questions and glances

Just gonna admit that I never believed the Dorothy/Joyce thing was more than Shipteasing. Seeing Willis pull the trigger on it is kinda messing with me.
