Not a spoiler, but a reminder; we've actually seen Ywhach in this exact position before. You remember back in the last Cour when he has that meeting with Ichibe, and Ichibe also had the arm with the eye? Ywhach didn't see that either; he was horrified when he realised that Ichibe had it; and he also had the Almighty at the time. In fact; it took him sacrificing the Almighty to retrieve "his fathers left arm" So not only has the existence of both arms of the Soul King been shown; (One of which Ywhach has now obtained) in both cases shows that Almighty or not; Ywhach does indeed have a blind spot and cannot see anything that relates to the Soul King. Also; things that the anime added that weren't in the manga: the entire first half of the episode actually XD. 99% of that flashback is anime original, but it does give a little bit of foreshadowing about things that may or may not also change in the future so I won't go into details this time~

But man I miss Gin, he was my favorite, I'm always sad that we won't ever see the guy again :( Also I'm just so hyped too see more of Shunsui too, he never went all out in a fight!

It is the scene where Aizen leaves and the soul society with Gin and Tosen on the hands of the Menos. While he was leaving, Aizen looks down on Ukitake who asked him why he betrayed them. Aizen responded "Not one ever stood atop of the heavens before. Not you (Ukitake), or I, or the Gods." Kubo confirmed in his website Klub Outisde that Aizen was referring to Ukitatke's relationship with the Soul King when referencing him in the same group as himself and the Gods.
