The first time I watched OP I didn't like it because it's really drawn out but now I'm rewatching the episodes I like with you and I love all the stories and the overall plot. The anime is just too drawn out for me because they apparently decided to do it like that to keep pace with the manga instead of adding fillers/going on more hiatus.

They are just piloted by a corrupt World Government in addition to having their vision of the world and justice. And they don't necessarily know the history of the world in detail. A man like Aokiji is convinced that IMPERFECT JUSTICE is better than the CHAOS OF ANARCHY. And it doesn't matter if this chaos is led by pirates, revolutionaries or archaeologists. That said, he was fully aware that the World Government was asking him to do something strange when he attacked Ohara. And Saul knew Aokiji was puzzled. That's why he was trying to reason with him. Post enies lobby ends ep 325 which is another hype episode so maybe if u find the time you could do it after the post arc :)

2024-09-20 16:04:46 +0000 UTCSo here's a little bit of a detail that everyone misses in regards to Coby and the series in general: how much time do you think has passed in universe since the start of the series? The answer: just under 2 months. Its not something the show spells out for you, but Luffy started his journey early February, and as of this episode it's near the end of March. Basically the timeline for Luffy's journeys is: 2 weeks to beat Arlong and enter the Grand line 2 weeks to defeat Crocodile and save Alabasta, 2 weeks to defeat Enel, 2 weeks to attack Enies Lobby and survive a Buster Call. Luffy is practically speed running his way into infamy at this point. (Also it took Coby just 2 months of training to look like he does now XD)
