U ain't ready for the next 15 episodes. It's an unpopular take, but those episodes are the best part of this arc imo! Also the Merry thing is gonna be explained, don't worry haha

2024-09-13 22:23:58 +0000 UTCHahahaha! The first time I saw the Merry arrive to save the Straw Hats, I was shocked! But positively shocked! I didn't expect it. BUT NARRATIVELY SPEAKING, it was the best way to end the arc because it allows to begin the closure of the argument between Luffy and Usopp. Usopp was wrong to oppose the captain the way he did. BUT he was partly right. The ship is a nakama in its own right that the crew must cherish and take care of. Don't get me wrong, I know Luffy loved the Merry. But not as much as Usopp. And this is what the Merry is capable of doing to protect them (the ship had already done something similar in Skypiea so nothing so "out of nowhere" as that). The Water 7/Enies Lobby arc themes are coming to a close. PS: What would Laboon have come to do at Enies Lobby? It's a whale who knows absolutely nothing about the conflict between the Straw Hats and the World Government xD Laboon is still waiting for a crew who left it 50 years ago!

Merry's plot armor is crazy but pretty sure it all gets explained next episode how the ship is still sailing

I had the same reaction as u at first I thought only Sanji landed on water but it seems he's the first to board it. Ps: I didn't watch the show so if it's something in the future then sorry :P
