You know; while I completely respect that opinion; looking back, this moment sort of cemented the beginning of the end of enjoying One Piece for me. Alabasta is still peak One Piece for me, and I was holding out hope. But this is the end of the arc, this is the final moment of the most important fight; this is Luffy vs. Crocodile... and it just doesn't hit me anywhere near as hard. It's still fine, but I just wasn't even close to being as invested this time around.
