Yep; you pretty much nailed it. Spandam really does beleive himself to be the hero of the story. And to him; this is how a hero behaves, because why wouldn't a hero behave like that? After all; he's the one saving the world! How dumb do you have to be not to realise how awesome and amazing what he's doing is!?!? Side note: I do genuinely love Kaku. He's the perfect blend of cool and utterly lame at the same time, and it's amazing.
