ONE PIECE EPISODE 298 REACTION!!!

Comments

I dont really see what he could do against her. For me the only move would be to snipe her before she does anything. But the thing is she has a lot of techniques to counter his projectile and tactics, more firepower and is just more sure of herself than him. You talk about Ussop surviving 2 enerus attack. Its One Piece. Some guy blow himself using with a nuke and the mf was still alive to talk about it. Robin survived Eneru lightning too remember? Wipers friend was zap too and survived. Ussop surviving is not an exploit, its the norm.

King DDD

Also consider that when he uses that move, he calls it Diable Jambe. Diable means Devil, not demon.

I think in another translation it says more like "Food comes from God, but spices come from the devil" I like that one better, because it aludes to his leg being flaming hot like some spices and also the devil. Demons aren't really known for being hot necessarily

If you could do that, you'd be a billionaire and the boss of the scientists you entrusted your technology to xD I'm trolling. But what you're saying doesn't make sense, in my opinion. You're focusing your entire argument on the fact that Nami doesn't owe her "use" of the super climatact to Usopp. While I said I agreed with that. On the other hand, I said I didn't see Usopp losing to Nami because no element of Nami's arsenal could really defeat Usopp (including the weapon he created). She can strike him down? Wow. Usopp has never experienced anything worse than that, it's true... On the other hand, I can't see Nami resisting an Usopp determined to defeat her.

Nicholas Kent

He doesnt know the limit of the weapon because he doesnt know its true POTENTIAL. Only nami can bring the weapon to its full potential. Yes ussop put some dials in the climat tact but so what? He probably just put the appropriate dials needed for the baton to create cold heat thunder and wind. Nami is the one with the knowledge to do something with those ability. If you want a better example: If i create a tool (using dials) that can produce all the elements from the periodic table of element Who the hell do you think can use it to its best, me the inventor? Or a scientist? Use critical thinking bro

King DDD

As a kid, I watched like maybe 100 episodes of one piece and sanji was my favourite. His fighting style is very cool like no devil fruit, no weapons, nothing just built different. As an adult tho the simping kinda ruined it a bit for me.

I don't agree! At all! Your comparison has easily identifiable limits. 1/ The super climatact is not a sword. We are talking about a weapon that Usopp created with dials according to Nami's requests. He didn't teach Nami how to use it but he knows the limits of the weapon. 2/ HE ALSO KNOWS NAMI'S LIMITS! I do believe that even if you manage to create a sword for a real swordsman, he will easily be able to cut you in two afterwards if he wants to. No disrecpect but that's how it is. But here, we are talking about a character who has surreal sniper abilities AND : - defeated a fishman - defeated one of the most powerful members of Baroque Works - survived TWO Eneru discharges - survived attacks from CP9 members! - surprised everyone during his fight against Luffy. So yeah, I have a really hard time believing that Nami can beat Usopp just because she's able to spam two attacks: Thunder Bolt Tempo and Thunder Lance Tempo. With a weapon that he made ! In what world would Usopp fail to disarm her? In what world would Nami resist his attacks? Against Robin? He has absolutely no chance of winning. Against Nami? She might have a chance to land an attack and then Usopp would take over. Especially if Sogeking decides to fight in his place!

Nicholas Kent

You're talking about where he lights his skates on fire right? I quickly looked up that section in the manga, and Sanji really pays no attention to it. Maybe he does in the anime though. But thing is; even if it as something he found fascinating; so what? It still doesn't' give any direct relation as to why Diable Jambe would need to be a thing; Wanze was pretty much a nothing character, both to the readers *and* to Sanji; so the idea that he would actually learn anything from that fight is almost even more ridiculous than the idea that he would just randomly create the concept on the spot.

Rewatch the fight between sanji and wanze, wanze use his leg to make friction and the camera emphasize the fact that Sanji notice that in seems to find it interesting or intriging

King DDD

If lm a blacksmith creating a sword for a knight, does that mean im suppose to know how to use it better than him? Or know how to use it at all? You need weather knowledge to use the climat tact. Without it. Ussop cant do much with it. Simple. And Nami is definitlety stronger than ussop bro

King DDD

Sanji is as much a simp as Nami is greedy, or Usopp is fearful or Luffy is gluttonous and stupid, etc etc These are stereotypes that we find in many anime and which here serve the comedy of the story. One Piece is also a story that teaches us not to judge a person because of superficial elements. Hence the silhouettes, laughter or strange outfits that many interesting characters can have. As for the power scale of the straw hats, I agree with the editor. Except for "Nami stronger than Usopp". She is more impressive than him when she uses the super climatact. But he's the one who created it for her. I have a hard time believing that she would be able to beat him with the weapon he gave her. And I have a hard time believing that she would be able to dodge Usopp's attacks. As a sniper, he is exceptional. Or we assume that she's able to defeat more enemies than Usopp on the battlefield BUT that she would not be able to beat him in a 1 on 1. And as for Sanji, I'm French so I always found the names of his attacks funny xD Most of the time, they don't mean anything. They're just words used to make it sound good. "Frite assorti" "Mouton shot"..... Diable Jambe is literally "La Jambe du Diable" (The Devil's Leg) in French.

Nicholas Kent

"Sanji looks like a superhero" You know; I've never heard that comparison before... Though just as a person opinion in contrast to your editor at the end: as someone who personally isn't the biggest fan of the way power-ups are handed in One Piece (though you did say you'll talk more on the subject after ep 300; so I'll probably do the same then lol, cause theres a bit more nuance to my opinions) but I'll just use a quick applicable comparison to Black Clover; as that's a series that also does mid-battle power ups. Compare Sanji unlocking Diable Jambe to Vanessa unlocking the Red Cat against the Queen of Witches. (First one that came to mind, though I could use other examples as well) Vanessa also just pulled her power up out of nowhere without any actual training behind it; but the difference is that I can understand why it was this power-up specifically. We know she uses thread magic, and it was hinted at beforehand that she did have some connection to fate, and the concept of escaping one's destiny was a recurring theme throughout the entire arc as well. So even if the fact it took the shape of an animal was a surprise; having her power-up be "the Red String of Fate" makes sense for both the character, and the situation as to why she would unlock it at that moment. Now compare that to Sanji. Yes, Oda did give Diable Jambe a good explanation as to how it works with the whole "friction heats up his leg" thing; but it doesn't give me a solid explanation as to *why* this was the power up he got. There's nothing that connects Sanji as a person to the idea of a devils leg, nor was his fight against Jabura anything particularly important to Sanji for him to require a super-hot kick to be created. (I'll use more One Peice-centered comparisons when I talk about it after ep 300 to better explain what I mean by that concept.) So way much more then Nami and Chopper, it doesn't really make sense as to why now of all times this new power suddenly seems to materialise in his arsenal.
