I always forget that Firebending can be a LOT more concussive than you would think it is lol. Yeah, like Mike said, individual talent and training add modifiers to the strength of a bending style, not necessarily the element

It all depends on how much the person in question has trained and therefore how strong they are that determines who wins. Heck; while theres obviously no way they can get as powerful: its even possible for non-benders to win against benders if they’re skilled enough as fighters.
