It was ALL his set up for Hanami specifically to make her drop her Domain Amplification and use her CT instead, so that he can rip her horns out. So that she gets SO weak that when she re-tries DA later to counter infinity, he could overpower her. Which he did. I just rewatched the ep to confirm it for you cuz you clearly don't get it. This is how it is. He previously said he will take out Hanami first. But instead went after Jogo, surprising him by touching his arm, grabbing it, ripping it off. Then tossing Jogo back at Hanami (was a plan too). This made Hanami think Gojo is hunting Jogo first, so Gojo lied about going after her first. Secondly it was clear to her Gojo has abandoned using his CT completely. Why? Cuz of all that show off that Gojo did. She underestimated him and started attacking him with CT (stopping her DA), thinking Gojo has no intention of using his CT anymore and that Gojo is targeting Jogo rn and not her. Gojo grinned real evil way cuz this is WHAT HE WANTED from her. She was his target after all that show. He closed the gap and ripped her horns out which he couldn't have done if she didn't turn her DA off. This is later said by Jogo himself. "I remained safe cuz I kept using DA". Look. Gojo is all powerful but he can't exorcise any of these two curses without using his CT. He did use his CT to put down Hanami, right? If Jogo and Gojo were to fight one on one where Gojo didn't have his CT at all, and Jogo was using his firepower CT, Gojo would be dead in the end. Gojo would be defenceless without his CT. Even Sukuna needed his slashes to counter Jogo's attacks.

And Ashish Kumar said he would’ve killed also the disaster curses too after the transfigured humans and he would’ve saved everyone, but because Geto shocked him he got sealed. You guys are right. You’re also right when you said completing his domain would’ve of course ended this mess, but he didn’t know that it was this deep. But what makes me say he’s dumb is that he won’t kill innocent people but he’ll allow the killing of innocent people. Literally smiling as they get slaughtered infront of him by the curses. The main issue here is that he was playing with the curses and taking his time before killing them, as he always does. For example, when he ripped Jogo’s arm he grabbed him by the leg and threw him towards Hanami, why would he do that? Why didn’t he pin him to the ground and actually try to exorcise him? Why was he saying “One, Two” like this is a game? Same thing in S1 E7 when he was punching and kicking Jogo instead of teleporting to him and ripping his head off at first sight and glance of him, he doesn’t even need to talk. He decapitated Jogo last thing and was easily manipulated by the flowers Hanami put. Gojo is basically not a resilient person. He’s not strong from the inside. You see him act childish around people. He isn’t a focused man. He’s soft from the inside. But he’s a tank and the strongest physically. Even Jogo said in S1 E7 that Gojo’s punches aren’t just puches fused with cursed energy, like itadori, and he was questioning what are they. That’s why without using his techniques, he can rip apart Hanami while the Jujutsu High students put their life on the line just to scratch Hanami. Barely even scratched him. And Gojo was about to kill the whole cult in Hidden Inventory just because he was upset. As I’ve said before, if Gojo was a strong minded person and even having a strong and focused heart, he would’ve been an impossible threat. He’s strong from the outside but not from the inside.

But it’s easy to say that as outside observers, we can look at it and say it would’ve made much more sense for Gojo to just pop his full domain essentially killing everyone down there since the humans likely ended up dying anyways. But in that moment it’s not like Gojo was aware of the depth of the curse’s plan or of the entity inside Geto’s body. I don’t know if I’d say it’s dumb from Gojo, considering he is a hero in the story after all. I wouldn’t say it’s dumb for a hero to try every other option before having to resort to killing innocents. That shows despite his ego and bravado he does care on some level. And especially the way he was written being so confident in his abilities, he thought he could save the people and kill the curses. He was wrong. 🤷🏽♂️ But idk about saying he’s dumb period just because he wanted to save people’s lives lol. I hear you tho, completely different outcome if he pops full domain.

2024-03-05 20:46:36 +0000 UTCI'm gonna be honest, the deaths in this arc didn't hit me that hard. We really did not spend that much time with this characters. We weren't on many missions with the main trio, so I'm not really feelin the group dynamic. It's sad yes, but I just don't care that much for this characters. Maybe if this happend in season 4 or 5 but i feel its way too soon for this part of the story. Getos 5 episode arc touched me more than any of this deaths in the later part of the season. Geto was just so well written, i instantly cared for him and his friendship with Gojo. It felt natural and their dynamic was great. I just don't feel this with Yuji, Megumi and Nobara...

What Gojo wanted was to exorcise the curses without killing people and his confidence wasn't dumbfounded. He could have accomplished that even when restricted, but Geto got in his way, which he didn't see coming and didn't keep in account for.

2024-03-05 01:37:28 +0000 UTCMahito's like Kim, when Skuna came he was scared and hiding in a photo booth underground, but when he's gone he just becomes a devil and plays with people's lives and sees that as fun. He even craped his pants when he saw Gojo perform domain expansion. You know what pisses me off more than this episode, is the thought that if Gojo actually did his domain expansion fully, he would've killed Mahito, Jogo, Hanami, Choso, and non of this would've happened. Everyone from Jujutsu High would've stayed alive and untouched, literally since they were just guarding the veil. Choso wouldn't have fought Itadori and so he wouldn't have become injured and eaten 12 more Skuna fingers and so the city wouldn't have been obliterated like we saw happen. If Gojo just did his domain expansion fully instead of 2 tenths of a second and tiring himself to get sealed, he would've saved everyone and Geto wouldn't have been able to do anything about it because his pawns are dead, which are Jogo and the rest. In the end, those people Gojo tried to save in B5 that are paralyzed have most probably already been taken by Mahito to gather and use against Itadori. Gojo's dumb. As I've said before, its basically his fault he got sealed... and a couple thousand people from the city disintegrate from Skuna's domain expansion along with the Jujutsu High characters dying too. Right?
