Bicycle belles

At LAAAST!! I think I started this, what… six months ago? Longer? Inspired by the 1930 film The Florodora Girl. Crowley is undoubtedly murmuring completely chaste things to her in the most un-chaste manner imaginable, which will make for a very interesting bicycle trip back home.

And it is exactly what I hoped it would be, I think I just wasn’t prepared for all the work it took, so I’d chip away at it very slowly. I’d so glad it’s finished and looks, I’m proud to say, very n...

Tiger tiger, burning bright

This is the cleaned up final version of the tiger for my son’s room and some variations (he chose the blue background). I got a small projector so I can put this on canvas, which I’m excited about. It’s been ages since I painted. I’m also gonna see about making some stickers! I think holographic stripes would be sick as hell.

On the menu for August

Hello friends! Thank you for being here with me. July was kind of slow, art-wise. Sometimes it just be like that, but I do the best I can. I have realized that I need to stretch my shoulders outside the Good Omens sphere — I will still be doing GO art, because I love it! But there will be more of other stuff, too. I hope you find it interesting!

(WIP) Spying

Crowley spies the cute gate guardian having a bath in the river. He thinks he’s being super inconspicuous. Aziraphale’s going to pretend he doesn’t notice 💛

Tiger

I’ve never drawn a tiger before, so I know some things are off, but it’s not bad for a first try, and this fella came together in like an hour. It’s a draft for a big painting I’m gonna make for my son’s room, since he’s outgrown the rainbow alphabet painting that used to be there.

This would make a pretty neat bag or shirt, if I ever get it cleaned up!

Which do you like best?

Axolittle

I’ve been real slow on the GO art lately — it’s coming, just slowly. Have a little guy in the meantime, requested by my son. He designed a little axolotl guy for one of his video games and asked if I could draw him. Took me like a half hour. Not bad!

July drive folder for Ladybirds

🐞  [ Ladybird folder ]

There's a new link for all the stuff in storage each month, just to keep it safe. All the same stuff -- art, wips, nsfw, wallpapers and coloring pages, updated each time I have something new for you! If you're new, you've got a lot of goodies to look back through.

On the menu for July

Hello again, honeybees! Thank you for sticking around while I took June off. I enjoyed my time off, visited my dearest E on the mainland, and went on some local adventures with my son (and also broke my dryer, so got to know my laundromat staff).

You may have guessed by how often I draw food-related stuff, but cooking is one of my favorite things to do and to read about. I have a large bookshelf that’s only food memoirs and cookbooks (Kitchen Confidential was my very first an...

Pink dolphin mer-angel

Sneakin’ in just under the wire for MerMay, wildlife photographer Crowley befriends a darling merbabe who smiles for the camera. Is he a pink river dolphin obviously in a tropical ocean and not the Amazon where pink river dolphins live?? Yes. However: shhh. It’s Art Crawl.

You may have noticed I have been pretty quiet this month. I’m okay, I’m just really, really tired. I usually take January off from Patreon, but I didn’t do that this year and I think it’s catching up to me...

Sketches for Crowley’s wedding attire

Jen (usedtobehmc) asked for some thoughts on what Crowley might wear to their wedding in the new Aziraphale the Priest sequel. Something fashionable and gender-wavvy. I had just seen a YouTuber I like dressed in a beautiful Versace two-piece for her own wedding, so I drew up a few different concepts. I believe Jen settled on the kilt! But it’s fun to imagine him in any of these. I especially like that open-backed tailcoat, with trousers or skirt or what have you. I love Jen’s stories so m...

Gingerhaole starter pack!

Everything you need for mega Ginger fun! Iced americano and a hand fan to beat those hot flashes, narcolepsy medication, a tablet and pencil, headphones playing a perpetual stream of questionable-content podcasts and ASMR, and a dual-purpose pillow for those sudden involuntary naps. Comes with a reusable Oahu Foodland shopping bag to tote it all!

I loved reading what accessories you guys would give your own action figures (keep ‘em coming). I’m sure others have done this, but I kind...

Trying something a little different! My art is not usually super colorful, and I’d love to learn to do more stuff like this. Nine-year-old Ginger would have been OBSESSED with pinky-purpley iridescent art.

This month I’m going to order those bookshop gachapon charms. I’m debating doing a pre-order or just ordering a smallish batch and giving patrons first dibs. I’d rather have the things on hand first so you don’t have to wait too long.

I’ll finally have the bicycle be...

(WIP) Ginger (in)action figure set

Artists have been making these awesome anti-AI “starter packs”. My sister made the cutest one (kitfoxart on IG) and I got inspired to make one!

The FUNctional Narcolepsy special edition Gingerhaole comes with one layered outfit, reusable shopping bag, sunglasses, iced americano, narcolepsy medication, a hand fan for hot flashes, headphones, iPad and pencil, and an indispensable pillow for propping the tablet on her lap or for sudden sleep attacks.

Coloring pages for April

I’m happy I can offer these little guys to you so they don’t live forever as teeny-weeny gachapon residents. Plus there’s the soot sprite I promised. I hope it’s fun to color the candies! This is what I’d choose first if I wanted a coloring page.

These and all other coloring pages can be found in your respective Google Drive folders posted earlier this month. There are hundreds! You’re welcome to post your coloring to social media. Have fun!

Bookshop gachapon charm

First of all, please forgive my absence — my family caught the flu, then I got hit with it, so this past week I’ve just felt like a wet sock. I finally feel better today, just in time to put together a little egg hunt for my son and make an ube cheesecake!

I think this is the final look for the gachapon charm! Thank you, my wonderful patrons, for suggesting the rest of the books, including:

  • Iain Banks' The Crow Road
  • Terry Pratchett's The Color of Magi...

Gachapon charm!

I about lost my bananas when I saw that Vograce makes gachapon machine charms, and started brainstorming how to make one. E and I came up with a tiny bookshop!

Here’s their example of one of these charms:

You can see there are lots of itty-bitty charms that can be popped out with a “key”. I’m a little obsessed with gachapon machines, so this is as much for me...

Ouroboros

Crowley in a buckled leather skirt I saw on Instagram probably years ago. Does she need earrings? Ooh, maybe a black lip. But why gild the lily. Yes I did draw every scale on the ouroboros just to hide half of it.

I don’t usually love the phrase “serving cunt”, but if the shoe fits

On the menu for April (konpeito!)

Happy April! From me and one extremely happy little soot sprite. I’ve eaten konpeito, and I’m sure it exists in different flavors, but the only one locally is just sugar, nothing else. It’s rock candy, basically, but itty-bitty.

So I slowed down, art-wise, the latter half of March, because (you may have seen on social media) we said goodbye to our wonderful dog Kilo, who had been sick for a while. We got so much more time with him than we were told to expect, so I’m really grate...

KawaiiKon sketches

This weekend I was helping out at KawaiiKon in Honolulu, running a table where folks can color or draw. I just doodled some stuff for others to color. You can see the awesome job others did on that bunny and the shave ice guy! I wasn't able to get pictures of the colored soot sprites. Would you guys like some simple soot sprite pages to color?

March wallpapers

I’m working on making sure the Google Drive folders for each tier are all organized and in pinned posts, but for now here are some wallpapers of recent pieces! I did a color variant of the snake, which I think is pretty cool. I’m actually using floodwater Crowley as my current wallpaper because it’s dark and I’m super light-sensitive. Enjoy!

(WIP) Eccentric Orbits cover

If you haven’t read UsedtobeHMC’s epic AU Eccentric Orbits (and I do mean epic — it makes a thick graphic novel), please treat yourself. You’ll fly through it and want more. It’s vibes of The Fifth Element and Star Wars, but it’s also a story that’s nothing like I’ve read before. Very exciting, funny, fascinating, with moments of unspeakable, megalophobia-inducing cosmic horror and head-spinning Now It All Makes Sense reveals. Exactly up my alley.

Missing your postcard?

It’s come to my attention that one of my postcards from February arrived with no postcard inside! If you’re one of the (un)lucky folks to have gotten an empty envelope from me, please let me know, and I’ll send you a replacement plus an extra goodie for having to wait. So sorry about that!

Hello friends! Thank you for sticking with me. I’ve been working more slowly lately, but hopefully doing some good work for you. Like a little mouse having a swing.

I hesitate to say at the top of the month what I’ll definitely do because things do get shuffled around, but one thing I’m immediately focused on is the cover of UsedtobeHMC’s Eccentric Orbits! I’m incredibly honored to be doing this, because her comics are always amazing, but this one is especially cool. If you ha...

After the Flood

After the flood, Crowley drifts for a while.

I had this sketched over a year ago, maybe two. Sometimes I’ll start a thing knowing I don’t have the chops to paint it, and it’ll languish in my WIPs until I feel more confident. The times are just bleak enough to warrant some sad catharsis.

I’m proud of this. I’m always intimidated by painting water.

A delicious strawberry cream cake (more or less gravitationally defiant). I’ve really enjoyed some of the detailed food art I’ve done lately. Especially if it’s a little weird.

My dad is currently visiting for another couple weeks, but I do get lots of time to draw, so hopefully there’s no slowdown. I think I’ll work on romantic stuff. You guys seemed to really like the little nsfw comic wip of the Scissor & Ink boys, so I’ll try to get you a second page of that!
