To be fair, he has no room to complain. He lost Amber by putting his foot in his big mouth.

Walky has nothing to complain about - he got EXACTLY what he asked for with Amber as his date

Everybody’s talking about the reveal, as they should, but I’d also like to heap some more kudos onto Amber for calling Linda out on being a terrible parent in the second panel.

I'm pretty sure it's, like, 98% spite.

Walky doesn't know that, though. So he has no dirt to throw back, and even if he did, he probably wouldn't after reckoning with all the preferential treatment he received at Sal's expense

Part of me is impressed that Amber has enough self-confidence to stand up for herself here.

“Haw haw! The girl you think of as scum was the only one preventing the humiliating failure of the son you dote on!”
…and Walky doesn’t have a lock on potentially parent-embarrassing secrets: Sal also did inappropriately (by college fraternization policies, not my personal ethics) bone a TA but seems she got away with it. Jason Chesterfield apparently doesn’t name names, I can respect that.

calling attention to it would also hurt Walky, though. if she does it, he's truly traded places with Sal

Hrm. I’m concerned for Amber here. By admitting to hacking the university’s system, she’s given Linda likely enough to get her expelled.
