One of the most oddly adorable DoA strips is the one in which Dorothy walks into Leslie's class the morning after their first time and catches Walky talking about how someday, he'll be able to say he slept with the president. He's mortified when he sees her and assumes he's in deep shit, but she's delighted.

I think maybe she just thought Walky was hot?

Because it’s been a while, someone remind me what Raidah’s gambit is for the breakfast thing? Is she getting back at Joyce or Sarah by trying to befriend Walky?

because Walky is easier to crowbar off Joyce than Dorothy is

Ehh, what's about waiting him get elevator first, Dorothy. Wasn't Last storyline painful enough for you?

I’m sad about you two’s breakup all over again too, Dotty. :(

I like what’s going on in the fourth panel. By placing her perky side-cowlicks behind the frame, her hair appears to be slumping down, reinforcing her sad expression.

It might not feel nice now when she's so uncertain, but it warms my heart that Walky continues to believe in Dorothy

She used to have such a place - it was called "Walky." That feeling lasted until she found out he was flunking math (which he didn't want to tell her, because he knew she would immediately go into fix-it mode).

Is the nuclear football a metaphor for Dorothy's wagon?

Be interesting if she gets the truth about Joe and Raidah around the same time. Maybe she'd stop assuming she's got the right to decide for Joyce what's best for her.

I wonder if Dorothy has a place where she can go and not have everyone expect her to be a responsible problem solver, and where she also doesn't feel bad about not taking on the role.

Hmm. Social climbing may not in itself be bad, but Raidah is bad—Dorothy just doesn't know *how* bad.
We might note that she declines to keep Walky away from Raidah, but exerts herself (and some dryers) strenuously to keep Joyce away from Joe (whom she thinks is bad, but probably isn't). Hmm again.
