My opinion is just enjoy yourself. I'm watching One Piece for the first time as well and I'm actually enjoying the cannon and the filler episodes. Yes, some episodes aren't always that great but they could leave a bit of some information behind or give a good laugh. Regardless, whatever Lucky decides then I'm fine with it. I enjoy his reactions and he's made everything that we've watched so far enjoyable.

The easiest solution for those "fans" is to simply not watch Lucky's reactions to Filler episodes & wait for him to reach the Canon episodes instead of bitching about him watching Filler cause they have to wait a little longer. Unlike Lucky, most reactors do this for the money & because they know their audience hates Filler, they always skip it catering to them cause if they don't, the money goes away.

When you first started one piece I wasn't watching your reaction episodes as I have not ever seen OP and was not interested in the show. But having enjoyed your reactions so much from Naruto, AoT, Bleach, etc I decided to start your OP reactions. Its a bit odd I know because normally viewers have already seen the anime but I have not. So its kinda like we are watching it for the first time together lol. That being said, I feel you on the filler and mixed filler episodes. I mean I enjoyed the ones we have seen so far. But I am also the type of person who skipped a good amount of some of the naruto fillers... mostly because I was itching to see the next canon episodes. At the end of the day I guess its just this balance of person enjoyment and meeting viewer demands. I hate the idea of viewers having unnecessary/unreasonable control over your channel, but I also get wanting to keep your subs and view count. If you started watching all the filler I may not watch all those arcs but thats OKAY! I can just wait for the arc to end and let the other viewers who are interested watch... anyways take care! -KC

Saying that, there are some "recap" episodes which is just the whole episode (or 90%) repeating previous episodes with no new content (filler or canon). Those are the ones I would say are probably worth skipping, or at least most of it if it happens to have 1-2 mins of new content on the start or end. But it's your call

2023-07-11 16:40:24 +0000 UTCThe reason Daddy the Father episode is anime canon is because Oda said he wanted to include that in the manga but didn't have time because he wanted to reach a certain point by chapter 100, so the actual content was something that Oda came up with and had to cut but gave the go-ahead to include in the anime. I'm not saying the other parts are not canon or anything, I'm just commenting on why that episode is actually considered canon despite being anime only

To put it in Earth perspectives: the Grand Line is an ocean that goes around the Equator, and the Redline is a Mountain Range that goes around the International Date Line. Being two circles, that completely separate each of the four seas, there's two points on the globe where they intersect; one has Reverse mountain so you can go in, and the other... does not.
