2023-07-06 14:53:37 +0000 UTCback when I read this part I definitely agreed with you that the old man's death was kinda disappointing, I think across even the biggest fans a lot of people agree it was weird, but as I gave it more thought I think it makes sense, the whole scene shows the difference between the two. Even at his most hateful and emotional state, the Old Man still didn't use the sorts of dirty tricks he would've if he was younger. You see in the cutscene his lieutenant came up from behind and stabbed the King, so in the end they both kinda used the same strategy, put a subordinate into the lion's den so they can catch the other off guard. Now the Old Man is enraged for that same lieutenant. I also think it just plain and simple does a great job at making you hate the King lol
