I think those guy that told you that you were wrong about zangetsu should have stayed about their business and shut up. Even if your were on the right track, they shouldnt try to lead you astray which ultimatlely interfere with you experience. They should let you form your own theories and thats it Sorry for my english

Old man didnt want him to become one because he knew eventually he would have to fight and kill Ichigo since he's apart of Yhwach.

2023-06-11 14:51:22 +0000 UTCOk so this is gonna be a long one but it's probably my favoruite twist in the series so I want to write about it a little. Here is every single moment where the true identities of White and Old Man Z were foreshadowed: - During Ichigoat's training at the Shattered Shaft with Mr Hat and Clogs he goes into his inner world for the first time. There Ichi sees the Old Man and he tells him his name "It's me, "------" ". The Old Man can't tell Ichigo his name and if you watch this scene in sub there is a distortion when he says the name. But it sounds a lot more like "*'`~-baha" than "Zang..." (sadly they didn't do that in dub). The Old Man is not able to rely his true name to Ichi. In the manga, the name is covered by black ink (you will learn the meaning of this later) but the Kanji that are covered don't look like "Zang...." at all, also showing that this was planned from the beginning. Only after the Old Man tells him the name of White (the real Zang) is Ichi able to draw out his Zanpakuto. - From the very beginning his Zanpakuto has been called weird. During the training it's shape is described as being unusual and even in his fight with Flower Petal Captain, that captain says "that tiny thing is your Bankai, that can't be true". Both Shikai and Bankai got commented on as being weirdly incomplete, we now know that that is because they were not his real Shikai and Bankai. - When Ichi couldn't handle his Zanpakuto's power the Hollow stepped in. But once it was actually the Old Man that stepped in. In Ichi's fight with Kenny while on the verge of death the Old Man pulls him into THE SHADOW and stops HIS BLOOD with an at that time unnamed ability. (It is now after this first cour clear that both of those are Quincy abilities, solidifying that the Old Man is indeed his Quincy powers). - One of the biggest moments in the Visored training: In his inner world White appears before Ichi and straight up tells him "I am Zangetsu". We as the viewer just don't believe him because he is depicted as a lunatic. - We saw the connection between Ichi's Hollow and Shinigami powers many times in battle. When he used his Bankai, the Hollow got more control (which makes a lot of sense when you realize that the Hollow was the Zanpakuto spirit all along). Add to that, that Ichi's main ability is incredibly hollow-esque. While the technique Getsuga T is inherited from his father, Ulqi comments that in Bankai the Getsuga T very closely resembles a Cero Oscuras that the Espada use. - Of course on top of that, what Old Man Z mentioned in the episode. When Ichi couldn't handle his Zanpakuto power (like against Flower Petal Captain or Ulqi) the Hollow took control. - And of course the fact that the Old Man Z and the Quincy King Y look incredibly alike, so much that people said Kubo had run out of design ideas when they saw the Quincy King Y get introduced in the manga. - Also, in his Final Getsuga T training Ichi fought a combination of all his powers and this mainfestation started crying and saying his only wish was to protect Ichi. Keep in mind that that is all of his powers combined, Old Man Z feels that way and White feels that way. Both of them wanted to protect Ichi from the bottom of their heart. I think you gotta apologize to White now for calling him a lunatic lol. That's all I can remember right now, and those are just foreshadowings for the true identities, what an amazing twist. Now, Ichi is practically complete, he realized a monumental thing. White and the Old Man aren't his helpers, they aren't his tool, they aren't his enemies and they aren't his allies. They make up what he is. They are him. His true Zanpakuto is an imprint of his own soul onto an Asauchi. "The Blade Is Me". Only a little less than a month to go for Cour 2, I'm hyped af! VERY HAPPY THAT YOU HAD FUN AT THE WEDDING, THE VERY BEST TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

This would lead to a profound synergy with his Zanpakto (The Blade is Me). Also, Ichigo has pretty much perfectly fused with his Zanpakto. This is something that I think only Aizen has accomplished via the Hogyoku (Hence why he did not need to draw a Zanpakto to hypnotize Yhwach since Aizen has become one with his Zanpakto; "The Blade is Me")
