Lucky about the Father Daughter conversation, it's not necessarily a lie what he said. She's definitely more tactical and strategic than he was at that age, remember back in the day he was just as impulsive as N was the only thing is he was able to control the situation better when he jumped into a fight. This is especially true if we're talking pre-curse mark her monster strength also gives her an edge. She also definitely would have beat him with genjutsu because we saw him fall for it a couple of times in Part 1 and he himself didn't use sharingan to put people under genjutsu until shippuden so she at twelve was already doing something he didn't do until age 16 and she also uses it to copy jutsu which we know he did but not a whole lot. But don't get it twisted if twelve year old him and her were to fight he'd win because she lacks the killer instinct he does but what he said was the truth about her being more skilled than he was doesn't mean she's stronger than he is don't get the two confused.

That said: and I commented this on another Space Aliens post: at least in the manga where theres relatively less characters: they are of late making sure the secondary characters do indeed have roles in the plot outside of the two main boys.
