It's a very popular anime series, so the creator decided to add in a small clip from it here as a reference, I guess. Don't think too much about it. As for the other reference, the creator meant about another anime called "Jojo's bizzare adventures". Now the thing is, I haven't watched Jojo so I'm oblivious about it, but it seems they did a Jojo reference there too.
