He hates that he was forced to kill Vaulter bc it was his baby, but he had no choice since his dad has the threat of the kid's death at Shiv's wedding aimed at Ken's head at all times. He is nothing but a puppet for his dad with no way out and he hates it, so he's lashing out in any small way he can to make himself feel like he has any tiny bit of control or power still. He's on some petty bullshit to make himself feel better, that's all.
