That's one thing I love about this show. It shows how random occurances can lead to major consequences just like in real life.

2023-04-22 08:08:19 +0000 UTCA sad parallel with Cutty and Spider: when Cutty first meets Spider and wants to show him some boxing moves, Cutty throws out the "I ain't gon' hurt you" as a way to goad Spider into participating. In this episode, he's actually being sincere about not wanting to hurt Spider, but it has the exact opposite effect. It's just sad how even suggesting that someone could hurt him gets Spider's defences up like that. You can tell he was actually taking what Cutty was saying on board until that moment.
