This star is even more super than I thought

Once Moon Facility was done, I went back into the Superstars chamber, and I've had some excellent developments. That beast of a video will come in due time, perhaps sooner than I had expected, plus some smaller goodies in the meantime!

MOON TIME

Oh, it's happening

The Sonic Unleashed Recompiled video will be out next week fellas! I'll let you know before it's about to go up. 22 minutes total with most of it making up the beginner's guide portion. I must say, it feels nice to make a smaller video again while still retaining the same quality. It makes me feel like I can actually get stuff done!!! LET'S DO IT!!!

The Next 7 Videos

With the Shadow Gens review having sat where it is, it's time to get back into it. I've got the next 7 or so video ideas lined up, with the first nearly done being written: an accolade to Unleashed Recompiled with a beginner's guide attached on how to get through the game without all the newcomer pitfalls. Gonna be around 15-20 minutes.

Sorry about the unprecedented delay, there were more edits I had forgotten to do, and usual life curve balls that you gotta roll with. But we're here and I'm very excited to share it with you all. I'm gonna watch it all the way through one more time and if it looks good, we're set.

Alright folks, progress is coming along great, I've got the first 35 minutes of the video done and going strong. Obviously, the wishful Valentine's Day release won't happen, but at my current rate, it'll be finished in about a week. I haven't felt the giddiness of completing a video in so long, it caught me by surprise like an old friend. I'll put up another progress update in a few days and adjust the expectation accordingly. We're almost there

GRASPING

Nearing the end of this journey. Had some personal events that took time away, but now that the busy time of year has passed, I'm going full steam on this right now. I'm shooting for about 2 weeks until completion, so I might end up posting this on Valentine's Day again like with Final Horizon. It's looking like it'll be around the 1 hour 45 minute mark I had predicted, give or take a couple minutes shorter after all the cuts are made. No more long pauses now, February is our month!

Shadow Generations is Within My Grasp

The script is done, recorded, and I'm currently going through all the takes, cutting it together. I'll hit you guys up again when I move to the video editing aspect, and then we can all bask in the glow of knowing that this is finally done. Oh yeah, and I'll do Superstars sometimes after that lol, but I'll probably do a couple shorter reviews in between so I can have a break, like with Final Horizon. The future is bright, ladies and gentlemen, I just gotta find my glasses.

Look at that, ANOTHER massive script

I'm about 80% complete with the Shadow Generations script and it's already longer than Overclocked. It's definitely the stage by stage breakdown that takes up the most time, but for a game like this, it's necessary. At this rate, I'll finish it a little before the DLC comes out and can jump right into that LOL oh help. I'd like to do a ranking video for all the levels afterwards and maybe a top 10 on the music while the game and movie are still a hot topic, but as always, I'll gauge the reception and my own fatigue to see what's best at that time. I'll talk to you guys again soon! (Then I finally conquer Superstars which I'm still looking forward to)

I'm Becoming a Superstar

Surprise, surprise, the video ended up being way longer than I expected WOOOOOOOO--I love how it's turned out so far, don't get me wrong, but MAN is it long. This has potential to give Final Horizon a run for its money, only time will tell. Anyway, I'm just dropping by to let you know that production has been going on this whole time, and will likely be interrupted by the upcoming Shadow Generations, but rest assured, the Sonic Superstars review will come to light this year. Once these 2 big reviews are done, it's time to pop off again.

HOME STRETCH BABYYYYYYY

AT LAST, the dreaded audio for the Forces Overclocked review has been conquered (seriously, that was a pain) and video production has officially begun as of a few days ago. In typical fashion, this will be comically faster by comparison, I'm already a quarter finished and you guys get an even longer video than predicted. I said around 45 minutes before and it's been beefed up to around 55, which is nearly double the amount of game play the mod even has, incredible. I estimate another 4-5 days to get this done, we're smooth sailing now fellas, I think you're really gonna like this one. After this, I definitely want to do a few smaller videos again to give myself a break and a more dense upload schedule. There are some trailers and demos I can talk about, along with smaller games and topics. I'll give you all a heads up once Overclocked is about to go live. Fingers crossed that the upcoming final update doesn't invalidate too much of what I've written. The only thing that would warrant a follow up video is if they added more levels, but it's unknown if that'll happen, and there's no release date, so I can't afford to wait for it.

Shadow Generations News

With the release date trailer and demos out for the upcoming Sonic X Shadow Generations, I decided to throw my hat in the ring with a 23 minute discussion video going over most of the info we know and casually discussing my excitement. The video will be going up tomorrow and then it's back to Overclocked once again!

I Have Been Overclocked

Here's the progress on the upcoming Sonic Forces Overclocked review plus a lot of rambling about other things that may happen eventually! For those who don't wanna listen, here's the main takeaway: The Overclocked video is projected to be around 45 minutes instead, which is why it has taken so much longer to make, so Superstars will naturally be pushed back a bit more as a result (along with everything else AAAAAA-but the video will be better for it)

So Many Choices!

I will be uploading a guitar solo video shortly like the one I did last year for Digital Cave after finishing my original Frontiers review. This one will be on a Sonic Forces track instead that I was really jiving with while noodling around. After that will be a shorter review of the recent Sonic Overture Demo which I had a lot of fun with. The script for that is already completed, looking like a 13 minute video, so that shouldn't take long to make. I haven't had a Sonic review that short since my second p06 video, so it feels kinda nice to go back to how all this Sonic stuff started with making a video on some random demo that caught my attention. I also have a script for my top 10 Triple Trouble 16-bit themes fully written from before FInal Horizon came out, so I'll find some place to squeeze that in, maybe before I inevitably get to Superstars because I'll probably need to buy myself some time on that one. I'd really like to check out Forces Overclocked first though, I'm excited for that. And then maybe, just maybe, I can finally finish this audio file that's been sitting on my desktop for almost 2 years of my Steel Assault review. I wrote that video before my first p06 one! That's my current roadmap right now, if anything changes, I'll let you know. Until then!

Technical difficulties are not fun

I've been experiencing an audio bug with my project that I can't find a fix for and it's been driving me insane. I just want this thing out already but I can't compromise right at the end, I need to figure this out. At the same time, I don't wanna spend more than a day or 2 at most on it, so I'll have to make a decision soon if it can't be helped. I'll keep you all updated argh

I may have underestimated how long a file this big would take to watch and export, so I've decided to upload it tomorrow morning instead. There were a few errors, so this gives me a chance to fix them all without needing to cram right beforehand. Seeya soon

It's Time

The Sonic Frontiers Final Horizon review...has been completed. I just need to proof watch the whole thing a couple times to make sure it's all set. 1 hour and 39 minutes total. The plan is to upload in roughly 12-14 hours from now. Once that happens, I'll finally be free. Thank you for waiting, everyone. It's time.

The Final Stretch

As expected, I did not make the wide eyed goal of releasing the video this weekend, but significant progress has been made and I'm at a point where I'm pleased with what I'm seeing. Recently, there have been some forces beyond my control that I've had to roll with and work around, but that's not going to stop me. We're in the home stretch now, I'm finally putting all the pieces together. I won't try to guess when it'll be done, but just know that when it's nearly complete, you'll be the first to hear it. A MONTH?!

It's been a month since the last post?! Holy, okay, we gotta change that, I've been in editing mode fairly nonstop and I'm FINALLY nearing the end. I'm shooting to get it all finished by next weekend. It's likely that it'll spill into the following week, but that's the plan in my head I'm gonna push for. Thank you SO much to all the new faces for joining, and the old ones for sticking around through my post production purgatory. After this, I'm gonna go back to shorter, more frequent videos, because there are literally hundreds of games I wanna talk about eventually, and I'd like to get to them before I'm 80. 

Timing is Everything

Let's go, let's absolutely go. There was a patch for Sonic Frontiers, addressing some of the biggest complaints with it. Two in particular that are pretty substantial. I will not be changing my script since it's already all recorded, however I WILL add a section either at the end, or along the way as each change comes up to explain what they did and how it affects everything. While it is another delay, it's a unique opportunity to show the before and after effects without needing to make a separate video on it, so I'm not too frazzled by it.

The Final Frontier Approaches

Okay, so the script had more cleaning up than I anticipated, BUT, the result is a much better, fuller narration with all my favorite funny moments from my playthroughs included. Unfortunately, I had also been recovering from a sore throat, so recording audio was out of the question until my voice was back to normal. Thankfully, that time is upon me now, so I can get right to work and edit this thing up asap. I'M GOIN' IN

The Biggest Video I've Ever Made

Alright, so...I said that Update 3 had potential to be the biggest of the 3 reviews...oh my...this will not only be the biggest of the 3 updates, but the longest video on my entire channel. Yes, somehow an update to a game is getting a LONGER review than the full game itself. I estimate an hour and twenty minutes, maybe more, I'll see what makes the cut. I just finished the bulk of the script, so I need to make one final pass through to check for errors and add final touches, but that'll only take a day. Then it's on to recording the audio which will be a beast to edit, but I'm gonna crunch it to have this out before December hits. Thanks for your patience everyone, it's gonna be big. I'll keep you all posted.
