Oops damn wish y'all posted sound gotta cancel. Can y'all refund plz ty

Black Valyria

This is mad late I know but the cool thing about the opening scene to the first episode of each season is that it shows the themes of the season. In particular, education, schooling in this season/episode. Pretty cool.

Kyle K

That gray haired cop extra, that's the real Jay Landsman

FuzzyDunlop

U trippin

Pacman24

Yeah this theme sounds like a Cosby spinoff

As far as I remember never actually told him not to but he laid out it was a bad ideal and worse he did it in front of a crowd he wanted his respect and he died for it and if bodie was going to war over better turf then he wasn't going to war over his homie ex same thing I tell people about Wallace they killed him and yes they wasn't sure he was a snitch but he was using drugs and run off on his crew then came back to get his spot back he can't be trusted and bodie wasn't risking all he had worked for on him the boss wanted him gone so either way he was going to be gone same thing with Dee he was using drugs almost snitch and was openly disrespecting Avon only reason Avon didn't have him killed is he was family which is why Avon gave bell a pass he died for trying to kill brother that made like the third time he went behind his back doing some that messed with his rep killing Dee he used outside people making the Barksdales look touchable then hitting brother Avon would have not out sourced it to a known enemy Avon would have known they would have talked Omar not a killer like that and he don't trust them then the Sunday truce all that together made it clear he can't be trusted and he will business over everything loyalty, code, honor which explains why it was so much more easy to take down bell's people over Avon's people in season 1 and bell's number two snitched you think Slim Charles would have snitch when you turn your crew to a business you show business is all that matters not loyalty, honor,or codes as much as people think Avon should've let Marlo keep the corners it's a sign of weakness and he would've wanted more and it would have still been war but he would have had more money and power by then because it's was clear Avon would have won the war at the end of season 3 Marlo people never even saw Avon or bell

Kwame James

Actually Bodie told Lex "do what you gonna do" & then after talking to Slim Charles he told Lex "πŸ–•πŸΎthat B!tch" Bodie technically never told Lex "not to kill Fruit". It was barely insinuated only after being advised to do whatever he wanted to do. As a product of the Baltimore inner city school system, Lex may very well not have fully understood the nuance of BOTH of Bodie's opposing responses to Lex's issue with Fruit.

Tank Obadiah

I think I read that he improvised that one on set πŸ˜‚

prolifik5

Ima be honest, that new intro kinda mid, but that lil remix of the outro is fire

User12262844

i hope so lol

Kiana B.

LMAOO YES, GUILT THEM. 😭

Kiana B.

The subs for this show are trash btw, it's like they turned on automatic captions sometimes lol it even confuses a lot of people by giving the guy being killed in the boarded up house the name "Lex" just after introducing another guy named Lex who's mad about Fruit taking his girl.

Tom

"Look at that bow-legged motherfucker. I made him walk like that." Bunk gets all the best lines.

Tom

Its only 1 person named Lex.

Pacman24

it will grow on them when they realize the theme and why the song is what it is.

Pacman24

Also it's not explicitly stated but bodie signed off on giving up lex think about it he told him not to kill fruit and slim Charles told him Marlo in power so why go to war with Marlo which is a death sentence for a jealous ex

Kwame James

Lol the girl from season 2 was named Beatrice Russell her nickname is Beadie

Kwame James

That opening scene with snoop buying the nail gun is too fuckin good

Mike Jones

Also they was using quick lime they using it to decompose the body

Kwame James

i dont think we ever hear the name of the first guy killed in the ep

Edward

And a major thing people don't realize that fat kid little Kevin is only 16 which is why he was running his mouth they like season one bodie but less hard

Kwame James

Just a heads up to make yall feel bad the into yall was clowning was done by actual school kids from Baltimore

Kwame James

The greatest season of television ever!

Wavon Barksdale

Great first episode for a great season….Can’t wait for the next 1!! And yeah I don’t really care for that intro either.

Daniel Cotton

a lot of the subs were off this episode, it was like that with snoop in the beginning of the episode too but less noticeable because her accent is very thick so it can be hard for some people to parse what shes saying already.

Kiana B.

the task force is made for major crimes, just in general.

As much as the wire continues to show that nothing will ever change on a systemetic level due to how deeply connected and equally broken these institutions are... it also does a fantastic job showing how individuals can indeed inspire change within another individual. That short time with Bunny inspired great change in Carver, and definitely for the better. Its just a shame that people like Bunny are few and extremely rare, which is why no real noticeable change can be done. The wire is a bitter, angry, cynical show... but it doesn't shy away from giving us those small, minor and inconsequential glimmers of hope every now and then. The show is brutal because of that hope. No matter how many times we're given disappointment, those glimmers of hope that we'll be shown a happy sitcom ending for all these characters, show that we the audience still have hope. Maybe the show is tryna push US to be that change. To our families, our loved ones. To show that our actions creates a cause and effect that can change our communities and even people outside of ourselves. Idk. Just saying alotta things that are on my mind. To those that read this to the end, thanks for reading! 😁

Reuben Filimaua

bralik, you're completely right about tommy, you see they tried to placate him but didn't expect him to know how to read a poll so thoroughly. he's just being realistic.

Kiana B.

I knew ya’ll would find the intro corny. So did I at first. But with the theme of the season and imagery of the intro I really got into it. It feels haunting. It became my 2nd fav. Season 2 being my #1

Haye Zeus

Y'all took Carcetti having a mildly risque poster on his door and put him at the scene of a 500 person orgy with fuzzy handcuffs. I am dead. Speaking of Littlefinger, this is the first time I think I've noticed this but at the end of his rant in the car he clearly says "bite my white ass" but the caption says "bite my bloody ass" for some reason.

ShaneSpear

they actually lied to the new lieutenant about what he was signing, and he's too lackadaisical and distracted to check for himself. and kima was literally distracting him lol.

Kiana B.

norman is a fave, he's funny as fuck. and rip to reg e cathey too, another legend.

Kiana B.

there's no hope for y'all with the intros man, i need a ranking at the end of the series. 😭

Kiana B.

right? and that tribute.

Mindbomb

formal got me hyper than i already was with how he came in with the episode title lmaoo.

Kiana B.

it's finally here guysss, i've been checking my email like crazy lol. and yes rip to the incomparable lance reddick, devastating how my wire cast is going man.

Kiana B.

Mindbomb
