Another month has come and gone; time does fly when you're having fun, which must mean it's time for Lexy to ramble and waffle in another Patreon post!

Firstly, let me apologise for not posting one of these in September; I did plan to do so, but for some unknown reason, Patreon stopped sending me a 2 Factor code via text, so I could not log in to my account for about a week.

A few days ago, I had a question from one of the users about what happens with all the donations given to m...

August, 2023

It has been far too long since I have done a waffling, rambling post, so here we go.

As many of you now know, for the last 7-8 months, I have worked hard on what became a massive project titled The Audit.

The idea was to look at every mod in the guide, evaluate its usefulness, and compare if there were better options.

The Audit is now complete and was released into the wild in July. As was expected, several issues have been found and have either been fixed or will be f...

Audit Progress June Update

For those who have been paying attention, you likely are aware that we are in the playtesting stages of what has come to be called the Audit Update for the Guide. We have always maintained that the release would be some six months after it began - sometime in August has been the target date set for some time now.

While the team continues to playtest, refine, and iron out the kinks, I believe we are close to the point where it is ready to be released into the wild. We are plea...

Gudie Audit Progress

I don't have a lot to stay here other then we are aware that you are all interested in how the audit is going, The team and I have entered Phase 3, "play testing the build". The team also suggested cos that the update is so large that I should push ahead and start "Phase 4 "Updating Staging Site" while they continue to play test. This update is so big that rebuilding from the ground up will likely be the easiest method

Guide Audit Progress

Greetings! As you are likely aware, the team and I have been deeply discussing the Guide - what we've been calling an Audit. We've done a couple of passes on the current list. Some things have (or will be) going away - generally, things that we can replace with something better, less complicated to maintain, or are still being updated and maintained by the author. We'll talk more about that side of the house another time... today, we want to show you some of the things that MIGHT - and we str...

Plans for the guide moving forward in 2023.

After long discussion between staff and a few select members of the discord community, a new major project for the Guide Team will be started in the near future. This project - a complete audit of the Guide - will be a major undertaking requiring a great deal of time and effort.

This audit has several aims, some of which included removing mods that might be considered bloat or mods that have modern replacements that may allow for better performance in-game. As large as the gu...

Another month has come and gone; time does fly when you're having fun which must mean it's time for Lexy to ramble and waffle in another Patreon post!

Firstly let me apologise for not posting one of these in October; honestly, I didn't have much to say.

Anyway time for Lexy to ramble; the November update was delayed because, as I started, I discovered Nexus uploads had an issue where four or five files were being posted. So instead of forging on and con...

And we're back after 2 months guide updates have resumed, firstly sorry I didn't make a post in July didn't really have much to say and the guide wasn't updated in August cos of Summer Hols here in the UK, but we are back in full swing and regular guide madness has resumed cause no sooner had I updated the guide Bethseda broke Skyrim again which of course meant a flurry of updates from mod authors, hey ho but that the nature of Skyrim modding is always a moving target.

I used the summer...

Since I currently don't own that it would be difficult for me to support it at the momment. I am also unsure if i want...

This month we finally finished off adding LUX to the guide so we now use the full LUX Suite. I also overhauled Windhelm.

I finished uploading all the NPC Retextures screenshots for you guys to vote on; I will start to compile the results and look over EasyNPCs in a few weeks.

This month finally saw the release of LUX (all be it 2 weeks later than I had planned). This was probably the biggest update the gudie has seen since I added OMEGA (for those that was around form that fun).

There is still some more I want to do with LUX like replace Lanterns of Skyrim II, but for now, the main interiors are done.

With Diana's help, phase 1 o...

This month the team and I have been working hard preparing for the long-anticipated swap to LUX. This update has grown larger than I originally planned but I hope you will all be please with the results.

I have some rough ideas on next few projects I want to do once LUX is in and things have settled:

  • Swap WICO for Modpocalypse NPCs. I am planning another com...

Another month has come and gone and the Christmas and New Year are once again upon us... which must mean it's time for Lexy to ramble and waffle in another Patreon post!

This month saw a delay to my planned update cos Arthmoor went and screwed us by getting the archived versions of his mod Cutting Room Floor removed. After much discussion among the staff, it was decided it would be best to remove all his mods apart from USSEP which I have now done. Well, that is not exactly true we stil...

As mentioned last month I finally now have a staging and the guide was moving to monthly updates this has been great for cos it means less pressure to get updates out cos my Trello is filling up and it would take me days to get through.

This month we had a vote and much to my surprise the City Winterhold was voted to get some love. Sofia made a reappearance, NFF came back, a b...

Another month has come and gone... which means it's time for Lexy to ramble and waffle in a Patreon post!

This had been a busy month for me in real life which meant we only had 1 update but it was a bit of a whopper. I introduced a new tool NPC Plugin Chooser which should help simplify the installation of the NPC Retexture section on Part 3. As with a new tool there, a bit of a learning curve both for me and you but I think for the majority its introduction went relatively smoothly.
