First Poem of 2023

I remember how good it feels
To lay in lonely suburbia
Listening to the rain pour
The droplets illuminated by streetlight haze
Hitting the windowsill by which I lay
As I drift off soundlessly
Into a much needed sleep
(Wrote this one in my notes app while staying at my parents house at the beginning of the year. Figured I'd share rather than keep it there)
