Speaking as a psychologist here, the key thing is not to look at your phone or any other screen all too much, especially less than 3 hours before bed. The blue light (which is invisible) that is emitted from these screens suppress the hormone Melatonin, which is essential to the brain going to sleep. Or you can wear special glasses that screen out 98% of the blue light. Also, I recommend to all my clients with sleep issues that they keep the phone out of the bedroom. I'll bet you have it on your nightstand, and use it as a clock. But even if you're not looking at it, your unconscious knows it's there, and the phone is your link to the world, both good stuff and not so good stuff. Get a silent analog alarm clock like one made by Seiko! Analog (that is, one with a dial and moving hands) because once again, seeing a digital display reminds us of our phones, and digital life more generally, and the mind then makes the connection to the phone, and the whole problem starts again!
