Love these videos... keep them coming I think a champion shield and rapier could be very effective tank with defensive duelist and heavy armor master. Max out strength keep dex at 14. So many great feats but HAM, mage slayer, defensive duelist... very tanky I like the ability to switch from vex to sap at 10th level. Could be a huge thorn in someone's side

Good I'll see if my math is right then.

When I get to Ranger (which will be soon, probably this week) I plan to do a two weapon build and see how the math looks

Sounds like dark magic

Looks like Dagger Throwing Rogue is extremely competitive through level 1-11 and because Rogues do the bulk of their damage through sneak attack, it only starts to slightly fall off through the worse d4 damage scaling in tiers 3 and 4 compared to the TS rogue. Given that daggers are trivially cheap and usable by any class (but likely worse than a rogue in most but not all cases) it could actually be a pretty good baseline for damage (with EB Warlock still serving as a useful metric, but now as a more of a floor than a baseline.)

Can I introduce you to our Lord and Savior Excel (or google sheets I guess). This can be done with a lot less work and in a less error prone way with some simple spreadsheet formulas. Set up can be almost identical to the way you do it here, but rather than manually punching the math and copy-pasting formulas with a single number change, you can let the spreadsheet work its magic, and you can set up your graphs there too.

I love the look behind the scenes! I'm sure there's a way to make your process more automated. Maybe one of your fellow patrons would be able to figure out the formulas in excel or sheets. More free time for you means more content for us! I can see how doing the math by hand would be satisfying though, so don't let us take away from your enjoyment of this hobby!

I think I got it now. Could still be off. A ranger with dual welder geting the bonus action attack half the timer and needing to move hunter mark half the time would be a 27.3 dpr at level 5

Adam Gillis

Great... I've been trying to calculate your basic dual welding ranger. Weird enough I calculated them a 30.5 dpr at level 5. I want to see if I'm right.

Adam Gillis

Yes! Official rules!
