I played a straight classed scribes wizard in an extended campaign. I think it's a fairly even trade-off (higher level spells vs higher AC). You of course want mage armor on such a build.

But for those of us for whom your multiclass decision isn't obvious, can you drop a comment covering the option of a straight-classed Wizard? How would you compare the downside of a lower armor class (and no Cleric features) vs. the downside of later access to higher-level spells?

2023-11-26 16:13:30 +0000 UTCI do feel like that summon needs to be in the build. Just too many situations call for it. I do not understand why Find Familiar is on this build. The built-in subclass is the only Familiar you will be able to use. Unseen Servant makes up for any gap there. And that 25gp per casting for Find Familiar will be needed for those 1st level scrolls you're making. This is one of those very rare builds that truly requires a regular consumption of gold.
