Filling in the WOTC class survey

Pretty much have to agree with most of this. Monks have thematically been my favorite since mid-1970s but playing them has always, always , sucked the joy out of the class (no experience in 3.x or 4E) and Rangers were my favorite after the original 3 classes. Aragorn the Ranger or Gimli the fighter was my usual PC quandary. Clerics were far more flexible in my designs.

My 2 Cents. Artificers are Thematically my favorite, but still need fine tuning. Barbarians don't scale. Why give Bards Jack of trades then give them a shit ton of proficiencies + Expertise. Cleric's are ok. wild shape works for moon druid, but not mush use for the other druids. Fighters are good at killing, if a bit boring. Monks suck. Should have D12 hp plus options for armor, and not enough ki points. Paladins are great. All half or 1/3 casters should have a feature that uses spell slot. divine smite is a great way to make spell slots pack a punch with out high level spells. Rangers started out broken, but got fixed. rogues are underwhelming to me. Sorcerer are the weakest full caster, but full caster rule. warlock casts eldritch blasts again. Wizard still the king.

TM, 5.5 just opens the door to conflicting “fixes” unless WOTC spends more time/thought/effort than I give them credit for, “quick fixes” usually blow up when put to the test.

I like this video. Your honest about things that are too weak, too inconsistent, and even too powerful. Especially as a DM, we are always trying make all players at the table feel like they are contributing. Also. I left in the messages an idea for a monk fix. Have a lot more ideas also
