Honestly, and by experience, you are still shortselling Dawn. Being on a Cleric's / Wizard's list, it can be easily swapped in and out. It's a one spell encounter winner due true sunlight (tm) alone against certain enemies (Drow, many Undead, ...) It's circumstancial, but prepped correctly just delivers, even more so in confined spaces. By my understanding of your rating levels, that puts it squarely into purple territory.
2021-05-17 23:55:41 +0000 UTCFor Symbol the spell states "If you choose an object, that object must remain in its place, if the object is moved more than 10 feet from where you cast this spell, the glyph is broken, and the spell ends without being triggered." This prevents the spell from being used in the manner you proposed. You might be able to stick the object in a Bag of Holding if the DM decides that objects inside a Bag don't move, but I wouldn't count on it. Probably still red unfortunately.
