I am indignant. I can do on Source 2 in just half an hour what I do on Source 1 for 4 or more days. This is the basis of the apartment of a house on the hills, I recently showed a video ( https://www.patreon.com/posts/three-days-of-37926703  )and wrote that it took me 3 days to simply build this geometry! It seems like you need to start studying Source Engine 2 ... I can port the interiors much faster, more beautiful, more like the original ... It was great. But most likely many of you still use SFM 1 / Garry's Mod.

In hl alyx models, 500+ thousand polygons each, more than 1000 bones, tissue simulation, normal shadows, lighting. I can port gta maps much faster and they will hardly differ from the original, unlike the outdated source 1. For SFM users, practically nothing changes, the program is the same, it only uses new formats of models and maps, but the controls and manipulations remained the same. https://i.imgur.com/3vWZRe2.jpg The engine completely got rid of the brushes (BSP map format). Now it is completely out of models. I can take a trivial model of an apartment and make a level out of it, and not spend a few days trying to build this model out of brushes.

all i know about source 2 is that i can export in 4k are there any other differences? i was hoping theyd raise the poly count for models so we could use some better ones at the very least.
