Hope On The Street ep.6 'NEURON' REACTION!

Another incredible chapter comes to an end.🥹💜

Hope on the Street was a JOURNEY for me! It’s crazy to think that I started it when I was a baby army and got to finish it as a more season 1year+ army!!

I am so thankful that Hobi decided to share more of his life with us and bring us to where it all began. I really enjoyed seeing the way his peers responded to him and all said that he truly is the most humble and down to earth man ever!💜

I really hope we get a season 2!! I love this side of Hobi💜

This show was so good, I loved seeing him fall back in love with dancer again. And yes a really great intro into dance styles

I really really wish BTS did a fun auction on items they won’t wear anymore. Hobi…take all my money

4:19 i had no idea before this show that he'd starred in a musical as a kid! but now I need to him to be in another musical as an adult hahaha (or honestly ANY of the members. Tae would slay something like that too, and i'm pretty sure jk mentioned wanting to do a musical in one of his gaming lives... 👀) Little hobi hanging around asking for tips between classes when he couldn't afford lessons anymore.... That's so crazy to me. The dedication he had to do that! Honestly we all owe the neuron guys a lot of gratitude for taking him into their group and letting him continue to learn with them. And to Haknam too of course 💜 Thanks for finishing this series with us Peachy! Now we just gotta pray for a season 2!

Hope On The street may be my favorite documentary/series the BTS members have dropped during chapter 2! It’s just so really well done and the edits go crazy! (And hobi shared he participated in the whole process of production) this won a couple of awards too! This last episode was really emotional. Seeing baby Hoseok and Hobi at present time with his Neuron hyungs was so sweet. They all looked so happy 😭💜 we also got a lot of new info and pics we never saw before which is so cool!

That’s how I understand Neuron too! :) (And yes, the fact that he even mentioned a season 2 gives me so much hope! I assume his focus will be on the bts album & comeback for now, but I’m sure he’ll find some time later on if he still wants to. I haven’t heard of turfing before, thanks for the info!)

There is a BantanTV video of Hobi recording all the features., on the album. I think jhope couldn't record with them because they wanted the kids in the dance and jhope had a short amount of time to record.

So I think the way Neuron works is that the whole group there is Neuron. It's a collective, right? And every Neuron performance we've seen is like 10+ people. But then they break into units for different stages, showcases, competitions, projects, etc. j-hope was in a street dance crew and the 4-5 members they highlighted in this were the ones that were still around from the days he was active. So those four were HIS Neuron. But everyone there was Neuron. I think. Also, I can't wait for season 2. There are 5 (big) styles of street dance left uncovered after season 1: krumping, voguing, waacking, breaking, and turfing. I'd love to see him cover those. Especially since he's always had an interest in waacking and we've gotten to see him krump briefly. But I think it would be cool, too, if he took on traditional dance styles as he traveled. Imagine him going to Mexico and dancing Folklorico or Hawai'i and learning Tihitian (e.g.). Like that would be cool, too. I hope HOTS goes on a long time! (As long as Hobi continues to find it rewarding. :) )

Idk if anyone in the chat answered your question if gwangju is rural so im answering here! It is a major metropolis and has around 1.4 million residents. It is in the top 6 biggest cities (some places say 5th biggest but most say 6th). It has a subway system and a lot of great transportation, but compared to Seoul it is smaller. But Seoul is VERY futuristic looking and huge, so compared to that a lot of cities look like small towns. Gwangju is a big city but it IS surrounded by countryside and it is close to a lot of nature and cultural heritage like old temples and monestaries. But to be fair there are old temples in the middle of seoul too! But anyways it is a huge city but the region it is in (historically called Jeolla-do, now called Honam) is a more sparsly populated region and a lot of the area outside of Gwangju is not as developed as other regions. Jeolla-do has a stereotype of being rural and ”backwards” aka undeveloped but it is also a place where modern democratic left leaning movements started. So basically, Gwangju is not rural, but the area around it is. Some fun extra info: the Jeolla accent is seen as very cheerful and friendly, and basically it matches hobis personality very well! If you want to know more about the different dialects in korean you can watch Dkdtv explanation of Bts Paldogangsan/satoori rap. It gives a lot of examples while also explaining some bts lyrics that make no sense at all when translated to english!
