"Umineko no naku koro ni"... Drawing this made me feel nostalgic. The visual novel series written by Ryukishi07 and published by 07th expansion was one of my earliest contact with visual novels. It was also the reason why I love detective novels and murder-mysteries so much until this day. Also can't forget the splendid soundtrack contributed by several talented composers like dai who also worked together with Ruykishi on the Higurashi novels.

I still remember the time when I read the novels without a break and sleep at their releases... Hell, I even put my high-school graduation at risk because of Episode 3 - "Banquet of the Golden Witch" when I just read until morning before the final exam...

The illustration above is a redraw of an older fanart of mine by the way, namely of a version from 2008 which I drew right after my readthrough of Episode 3.
