The new platform is finally on prod!

It's been a while since our last update.

I'm happy to announce that we're finally ready to release a new version of OpenAudioMc. This version is a complete rewrite of the client, and a complete rewrite of the backend. It also has a lot of new features, and a lot of new things to look forward to.

All patreons now also get 10 gigabyte of storage, where you can directly upload your content and have us manage/serve it for you. No port forwarding. No caching interval, notin! Just upload and go :)

Thanks again for all the support over the years, support like what I get from you guys is what keeps the project going and even allows me to broaden the free service (with file uploads in this case, because _everyone_ has access to it, just not the 10 gigs you have ❤️)

I released the new web client (v8) yesterday, it contains all the features you know and love from v7, but adds configuration, a completely new UI putting voicechat and user experience first.

Upcoming Patreon exclusive features and new open sourced components.

Hey everyone!

There's a bunch of new stuff in the pipeline, one of which will be a Patreon exclusive. A major part of OpenAudioMc is the streaming of audio, and the most used methods for that are Soundcloud and YouTube, but both are still far from perfect. This is why I'll be launching OpenAudioMc-Storage, a file hosting service optimised and directly integrated with OpenAudioMc. Patreon will be able to login with their Craftmend account and directly upload MP3, OGG and WAV files to use with the plugin, and don't have to worry about caching, serving speed or streaming compatibility.

I also open sourced an internal component we use, called Toothpaste which you can find here  https://github.com/Mindgamesnl/toothpaste

There's no set release date at the moment, but I'll share screenshots and early access in the `#patreon-general` discord channel when there's more to share :)

Updates, CDN, and potential voice chat changes

This really wouldn't have been possible without all the support, thanks everyone for helping the project grow like this :)

Upscaled resources, trello, and more

Hey everyone!

Wanted to make a quick update post with stuff that happened in the past week with OpenAudioMc :)

 - I was able to start a second service for RTC signal forwarding, meaning that our voice capacity is now doubled and ready for growth

 - We now have a meaningful way for users to claim free activations, without bogging supporters down

 - Implemented a lot of suggested features, which you can read up on through the next point

 - updated trello (https://trello.com/b/UWtNlpUr/openaudiomc-general-development) and will keep it updated during development

Howdy folks! welcome to the crusty kitchen where I work on all my projects.

Thank you so much for supporting me, you are the reason why I'm able to provide OpenAudioMc (and my other projects for that matter) to everyone and that's honestly incredible!

I don't have too much exclusive content on Patreon at the moment, since most (if not all) of the rewards are off-platform perks (either in the discord, craftmend account or whatever) but I'll search for things to post on here as exclusives and experiment with that works and doesn't. I might start posting some of my smaller experiments or one-off projects, videos about whatever, or just try some new things, time will tell.
