BTS - O!RUL8,2? Full Album REACTION!!

ALBUM REACTION TIME~

i'm so glad that so many of you love these as much as I love exploring BTS GIGANTIC discography. ^^

Reacting to Baby bangtan for the first time is just DIFFERENT! They came into the music world ready to throw hands, find some cute hunnies and change the industry forever, eyeliner and all!

The vibes of this album were so HEAT! I loved how Rapline heavy it was and of course, the teaser right at the end just solidified how intelligent and strategic the BTS boys were and still are!

10/10 album, I cannot wit for the next one so i can finally listen to the CD that was gifted to me by a warrior!! HEH

Which is your all time favourite BTS album? Am I getting close or have we listened to it already? c:

BTS - O!RUL8,2? Full Album REACTION!!

Comments

Peachy you almost missed 'Skit: R U happy now?' that was connected to 'If I ruled the world' in some way omg haha. I recommend you to check Spotify sometimes just in case bc YouTube playlists not always include all tracks or go in order! Fr the Rap line has always been really a strong pillar for BTS' success and I truly think they deserve that recognition and more appreciation too! O!RUL8,2? is another no skip album from BTS. I just love how timeless their songs are. Even if it was more rap heavy they still got that diversity of styles and genres and the vocal line always shines. But it's true that Jin and Taehyung were the members with less lines or sang in the second half or end of the songs but let's be real, it was just in some and they still managed to shine and do iconic lines. Since I know BTS contributes a lot in the making process of each song and take decisions of that I respect them. They know what they are doing and they are not selfish with each other, BTS just chooses what they think fits better. (Even if a member didn't sang much in certain songs they do it in live performances so it's okay. For example, Hobi has no lines in the studio version, he harmonizes a bit but he sings Namjoon's first lines in the live performances 💜 ) Anyways, I'm so excited for your reaction to the Skool Luv Affair album

Purple Chamchi

Will second all the other comments. Watch those live performances! BTS is always better live.

TheSnoozeUntold

Yes! The performance in Japan where they are wearing black and gold!

TheSnoozeUntold

My people 😭

Chanique

LIVE PERFORMANCES are where Bangtan shine!!!!!!!!!💜 and no spoilers but just wait to hear the other CYPHERS They get even better

Second what others have said about Paldogangsan. It’s basically just rapping in different dialects as the members come from multiple regions of Korea. Also fun to note is that in the Outro Jungkook’s last line is in Busan/Gyeongsang dialect, he uses the word gashina (가시나) rather than the standard yeoja (여자) for “girl.” Skool Luv Affair is great but personally I’m super excited for you to get to Dark and Wild, it’s my favorite of their early albums! 💜

steph

Peachy, you haven’t lived until you’ve seen Attack on Bangtan live!😆🔥🥰

MinWii

Definitely react to the explanation video for paldogangsan/satori rap now

xXShyKaiXx

Fun fact: So Paldogangsan was originally just a rap line song that they got a lot of attention for before the vocal line was even added to the lineup. In fact, Tae saw Joon, Yoongi, and Hobi perform Paldogangsan on a news broadcast and credits that performance with his desire to join BTS. Paldogangsan was such a moment for pre-debut Bangtan because rappers don't usually rap in their dialects. And with Yoongi representing Gyeongsang from Daegu (which is a really tough and short kind of accent) and Hobi representing Jeolla from Gwangju (which is a really strong twangy, upbeat kind of accent sort of akin to our southern accent), they also got at a cultural conflict between those two regions. So anyway, it got a lot of press when it came out because it was so unique and really showed off the range of dialects in Korea. When they made it into an OT7 song, Tae, Jimin, and Jungkook all joined Yoongi since Daegu and Busan both have the Gyeongsang accents and Jin joined Hobi even though Jin does not have a Jeolla accent but he also doesn't have a Gyeongsang accent. And then Joon did Seoul (which is a very neutral accent) even though he was born in Ilsan because they're very similar anyway. You should watch an explanation of this song some time. It's so culturally rich and there's so much meaning in there. The live is also funny because they're arguing with each other in it. haha

The older albums were very rap heavy (they debuted as a hip hop group with singers who didn't have a ton of experience or range yet compared to the rappers who were all seasoned performers). Personally, I love the older rap-heavy tracks/albums because more recent stuff is very very light on rap line. Like in Dynamite, Jungkook got like 76 seconds where j-hope got literally 6 seconds. And the rappers end up doing like half-vocals a lot on newer stuff, too. Yoongi and Hobi usually have like four bars each back-to-back with melody. I mean, I totally respect BTS' creative and commercial decisions--they have a method and a goal, and they know best how to achieve that (they've clearly been very successful, haha). But as a rap line bias who just LOVES to hear them really settle in for long, storied raps, with varied flows, I miss these type of rap-heavy tracks. They're fewer and farther between these days. O!RUL8,2? is one of my top 3 albums to this day. :)

You gotta see the iconic live performance of "Attack on Bangtan" in Japan. Still one of my top favorite live, it was so fun and hype.

UhgoodEuphoria

Peachy....maybe you can carve some time for live performances of some the songs of whatever album you react to? There is nothing like watching them perform songs live. Some songs, when I heard the album version were good, but once I heard them live...GAME CHANGER!! Plus they are so energetic and playful and sassy....I love it! I can't remember which concert,,,but there are some performances they are all sweaty and gurrrlllll! LOL! That's all I have to say...

Luna75

Yes! I love School Love Affair and Dark and Wild!

Luna75

I second that!

Luna75

Same!!!!

Luna75

Heres the link for it lol https://youtu.be/gP0Vo0U3Yn8?si=RCLN1Wl00P3ZFbQ8

Alana Moore

Now you gotta watch the live performance of Attack on Bangtan, literally iconic

Alana Moore

OMG!!! One of the funniest live performances I’ve seen of BTS is their Japan concert singing “Attack On Bangtan”!! They go CRAZY on stage and it’s HILARIOUS! I would loooooove to see you react to that one because…. Oh LORD!!🤣 https://youtu.be/gP0Vo0U3Yn8?si=ZwomPRdm7PoGmjZv

Amanda Crowe

Jhope has a mixtape called Hope World.

MintChoco

please please watch the explanation vid for paldogangsan, it's so cleverly made 💜💜 i know you love how hobi drag the last syllable of his sentences sometimes when he speaks and it's because it's a part of jeollado satoori https://youtu.be/l48zU1h00jw?si=iHUguHPvFDrnwHEU this album is not on my top 5 bts albums but i love the lyrics and the songs here. they're claiming their future success and they really did achieve most of the things they've mentioned here. like imagine baby bangtan saying all those things 3 months in their career not knowing that they will really be huge 🥺

outrolars

Jk was 17 years in 2013, 17 years în Korea or 16 years în general . He is born în 1997. He was 15 years (Korea years) when he signal with BigHit. But he stay in training until 2013, when BTS debuted. I am sorry if the way I write is not corect, english is not first language.

RM was actually only 18 when BTS debuted they were all so young and already had so much raw talent

Ana

Also you need to see the dance or live for Paldogangsan with the boys “fighting” each other based on their region and rm in the middle trying to keep the peace 😂 the choreo is so clever.

Jay18

Aww yay I thought you dropped the album reactions 😅 so glad they’re back! The next one is my favorite EP. Skool Luv Affair 💜
