This video and song were PHENOMENAL. I love V’s artistic mind so much and feel so lucky to get any glimpse into at all.
The song gave such cozy, winter, vintage Disney vibes and hearing V’s voice melt with Park Hyo Shin’s was just life changing!! I was just simply in Awe by both of their talent and of course to V’s acting skills as well.
My mind is swirling with theories surrounding this song and music video. Was V dead the whole time? was he in an institution? Was he imagining all of the happy times? What was real and what wasn’t?!?
I’d love to hear all of your theories because I am just simply GOBSMACKED but also very excited to stream this ALL winter and more!!

2 days later, I’m still torn between 2 opposite ways to see this MV. Who is Taehyung and who is V ? 1/ Is the guy crying at the end V… ? Then, this V crying realizes he’s just a fantasy made by Taehyung. This makes me wonder how Tae sees his own V character. Like if he was telling to himself : « Did you really think this was true ? Being on stage (the theater), being the center of the attention of all these people around you, partying and having fun under the lights with all of them ? »… then the lights vanish and it becomes scary ‘cause it was just a dream. Like if this whole star / BTS adventure was still just a dream for him. Then, I guess, it would lowkey be a way for him to tell us he never took all of it for granted. 2/ OR, is the guy crying at the end the real Taehyung…? Yes, the shining, smiling, innocent, happy Taehyung who has become a hostage of his own powerful V character. Then it would be, in a way, the same inner fight Suga and Agust D have in Youngi’s trilogy. Tae is happy with his friends, having a « normal » life, enjoying his birthday, walking in the nature, dreaming of having a girlfriend. But 1st disillusionment : V is so powerful being an idol (with everything an idol has to sacrifice) that Tae in real life can’t have a love interest… Then, no private life, no time for partying with friends (remember this video when he says to his friend it’s the first time he’s having his BDay outside of the BTS members ?)… That would explain why they all vanish in the MV. And at the end, 2nd disillusionment : Taehyung has himself become a fantasy as if V, the artist (who engraves his V on his craft), had taken over Tae the human being. Which would be really sad. What do you think ?

I can't believe it's finally happening omg (Taehyung posted pics when he was filming this years ago and we've been wondering since if it was a photoshoot, a drama a MV or what lmao) Ok so here's my theory about the music video: the Kim Taehyung we saw throughout the MV is fake just like the girl, it’s a life he dreamed of. He started to live as that molded person and forgot his true self, that’s why he got surprised and cried when he felt the x mark on his neck. Hurt bloody Taehyung finally confronted reality and smiled at the end!

Can’t wait for the cinematic version cause this this mv was already cinematic it could of been a movie tbh Our true artist Kim Taehyung killing it again showing why he is in BTS and why he’s our unique jazz pop king cause there not many jazz pop artists out there there all mostly pop or rap but I love that he’s bring jazz pop back into the music industry it definitely needs something new and refreshing sounds in the kpop industry and within Hollywood industry itself tbh

And red jacket Tae looked scared to see black jacket Tae return at first but then I think that after red jacket Tae realizes none of it was real he comes to an understanding that he can’t live in this alternate reality forever and has to leave/die 😭. I Need to keep watching it though I keep catching new things.

The sculpture Red Jacket Tae found out Black Jacket Tae was going to start another sculpture, Red Jacket Tae in desperation to be a part of life, decided to kill and take over the life of Black Jacket Tae. But Red Jacket Tae was always different and didn’t fit in with everyone else, so he started creating sculptures to create what he believed was “paradise.” He wanted what the world tells us we should all have: companionship, romance, and to be accepted. But he realized it was all in his head and wasn’t real. As a result of his dissociation from his reality, the Black Jacket Tae finally caught up with him. Absolutely breathtaking and creative story with a hint of desperation and longing for something real just like the holidays are for so many. Love the creativity!"

If you look closely at the others they were also statues in that sculpting room. Red jacket longed to live a life that he only dreamt of. So to make it reality he tried to kill his creator which is black jacket tae and take his place. Which is why we see the blood (?) dripping down his (black jacket) face. If you look closely where he marked the “x” or “v” on the statue he sculpted.. it’s on red jacket tae behind his ears. So red jacket tae was dreaming of friends and his lady love to all have none of it be true and shattered once black jacket tae came back in the end to “confront” him. Notice he sings “paradise”beautifully towards the end but once black jacket tae arrived he was unable to finish the word “paradise” a second time when singing it. It ended with “para” lol it’s so thought provoking, creepy, artsy, and beautiful all at the same time. I love this man 😫😫 I commented without watching your reaction first! 2024-11-29 08:05:24 +0000 UTCThat may be a 100% FRENCH ADVENTURE for V. 1 / It's shot in France, all of it ! 2/ There is the mythology (the sculpting part) but also, personally, it reminds me of L'EVE FUTURE, a classical novel by the French author Villiers de l'Isle-Adam for it is a story about creating the ideal woman. This novel is still studied in french schools : it is the first Sci-Fi novel (19th century) ever written in France (I guess Mary Shelley had already written Frankenstein in England).

So in this music video, V portrays the sculptor who's sculpture comes to life and the reason the girl disappears at the end is cause her sculpture broke and The V that shows up at the end is the real sculptor that created a sculpture of himself to signify the happiness he's always dreamed of and the V we've been following through the video comes to the realization that he himself is a sculpture which is why he starts to cry. This is just the main theory going around and it makes the most sense to me
