It just occurred to us that it was our authorversary on March 7th! It's now been eight years since we released our first full length book, Make Me Burn. It’s surprising to realize just how much time has passed since we began this journey.

We'd always dreamed of becoming authors. That dream seemed so distant, completely out of our reach. When our eldest was just a baby, we wrote two books together. Though neither will ever see the light of day, they were huge accomplishments to us. They were proof that we could do this. But we had to set our dream of a writing career aside—for a time.

Even while that dream was on pause, roleplaying was something we often did on our spare time. I loved it. It was an outlet for all the ideas brewing in my head, and it allowed us to continue being creative. To write. We hadn't completely given up. Over time, our roleplaying evolved, growing more elaborate and character driven, building into stories all their own. Make Me Burn was the product of one of our roleplays.

We can look back over the last eight years and see all that we’ve learned, all the friends we’ve made, and everything we’ve accomplished, and appreciate all of it. Good times and bad, we are so grateful for the fact that we get to tell stories for a living, just like we’d dreamed for so long. We’ve grown so much as writers since publishing Make Me Burn (even more so since the original roleplay it was based upon), but we still look back upon it and all our early works fondly. Every story we’ve written was a labor of love.

Thank you all for your support, whether you've been with us since the beginning, or even if you've only recently discovered us. We hope you continue to enjoy our stories for many years to come!
