You know these days when you say I'll pop at the super market for 30 minutes and you end up returning home 3 days later? What? Doesn't happen to you? Well to me neither but this is what this drawing felt like.

So I started drawing a noodie of Ariel, I said this will be just a quickie to "stretch my legs" a bit. Drawing Ariel took just a few hours, then I said to add her friends. That crab-like thing and the fish and a couple extras. So OK, one crab and one fish coming right up, crab on couch, fish on... wait, where do I put the fish? Ah in a fish bowl, do I know how to draw one? No. Next brilliant idea is to put some fur on the couch.

So instead of having a finalised rough image on my mind I was drawing things, hiding them away, drawing other things, then moving them around all while I was working on the color and shading of other things. That moving around ended up leaving "holes" which had to be patched looking for them over dozens of layers and was a big headache.

I believe I learned a lot of what not to do ever again. At some point I thought about ditching it as it was destroying my mood, but with patience I managed to pull it through. Thanks to my mule stubbornness.

So, here it is "Ariel on cam" ^^.
