Mr. T (Clubber Lang) was actually one of the nicest guys. He was also famous for the A-Team TV show and even starred in his own cartoon for kids.

The wrestler Thunder Lips was Hulk Hogan. Obviously Mr T was Clubber. This movie launched their careers. Hulk Hogan was already known by the Pro wrestling crowd. But this movie gave him the national exposure that led to Vince McMahon resigning him and building his whole company (WWE) around him. The very first Wrestlemania had Hulk and Mr T team up together in the main event

Rocky (1976) is my favorite underdog movie of all time. Such a nuanced performance by Stallone. I like Rocky 2, which to me is just as much a love story as a boxing movie. Rocky 3 is acceptable. I remember Mr. T.
I suggest skip Rocky 4 (1985) and Rocky 5 (1990) unless they win a poll, e.g., against original movies or other franchise sequels. People focus on how bad Rocky 5 is but there is also a lot of cheese in Rocky 4. You can read what happens in Rocky 4 and Rocky 5 to prepare for reacting to Balboa (and then Creed).
IMDb 8.1, RT 93% -- Rocky (1976) [AFI Top 100]
IMDb 7.3, RT 70% -- Rocky II (1979)
IMDb 6.8, RT 69% -- Rocky III (1982)
IMDb 6.9, RT 39% -- Rocky IV (1985)
IMDb 5.4, RT 32% -- Rocky V (1990)
Rocky V (1990) nearly destroyed the Rocky franchise. It would be 26 years before another Rocky movie (Balboa in 2006).

I was late to the MapleNuts party! I had no idea you had done Rocky in your past catalogue even with all the videos I’ve seen until I saw this notification today!! OMG! This is one of my favorite franchises ever! I just went and watched Rocky and I’m watching Rocky II now and then back for this one!!
PLEASE PLEASE continue this journey! There will be lots of comments about which ones are better and which ones are worse, but they all tell the story and Rocky 6 which is Rocky Balboa for me is one of the best closeouts to a story I have ever seen! You will not be sorry!!!! Loved the Rocky I reaction! Going back in now! (then remember what Stallone has said his entire life… “Rocky isn’t a boxing movie, it’s a love story.”
🥊🥊😂😂)
