so great to see a reactor completely understand this ep and Kali. Too many people got caught up on the fact that we left the cliffhangar which is valid but then trashed this episode really unfairly. Kali is such a tragic figure, a glimpse of where Eleven could have ended up wthout the kids and Hopper. I love The lost sister, just wish more people would go back to it and give it a chance.

2026-01-30 20:18:44 +0000 UTCThere will probably be a few "worst episode" comments but this is one Hill I will die on π I have to defend this episode because it's not a bad story and it's not a bad episode it's just put in the wrong place. The episode could have been spread out over multiple episodes and flowed way better than just putting it all in one episode right after a critical moment. So I will agree that it's an odd episode to have after episode 6's ending however I cannot say that it is a bad episode or a bad story or an unnecessary one. We see 11 hone her powers and become a bit stronger because of Kali. We see how she realizes that there is a dangerous world outside of Hopper's safe little bubble. And we can see the difference between 11 and Kali as you pointed out, one having Hopper teaching her and protecting her while the other grew up in anger and hate with no one to really care. And we get some dope ass music. But anyway I'm so relieved that you found the good in this episode and the necessity behind it.
